Netgear Nighthawk Keeps resetting randomly.

A few days ago my router started randomly what seems like rebooting itself. It happens at random so I don't think it's some reboot sequence or something. Yesterday it happend 3 times in a row within an hour so I completely reset to factory settings and thought everything was good till just a moment ago where it seemed to reboot again completely wiping all interet connections and wifi.

What actual router is it? you put a7000 in your signature which is a wireless usb adapter.

What firmware is on it?

Have you checked the power supply and the outlet? I've seen a loose outlet cause devices to reboot.

Not a router.  Look for "Model" on the product label.  Read
carefully.  Type carefully.  Read carefully what you've typed.

"seems like"?  What is it actually doing?

Says who?  As always, an actual version number would be more useful
than your opinion of what's "newest" today.

Re: Netgear Nighthawk Keeps resetting randomly.

It is a Netgear Nighthawk, AC1900 Smart WiFi Router, model: R7000

When it happens every light is off except for the power light which is a solid amber. From research that means it is rebooting.

Firmware is V1.0.9.88_10.2.88. I keep hitting update and it says it has the latest.

Trust no one, I always say.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads.  (For older versions, under Firmware and Software
Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".)  Find the kit(s).
Download the kit(s) you want.  Read the "Release Notes" file for
instructions. (In the User Manual, look for "firmware", and,
especially, for a topic like "Manually Upload Firmware to the Router".)
When that fails because of a deficient User Manual, try:

      https://kb.netgear.com/23960

(That paragraph was supposed to be part of my previous message, but I
apparently failed to include it.  Oops.)

No bets on whether that will help.  You might be looking at a
hardware problem, too (router or power adapter).

You might also try a settings reset, and manual reconfiguration.  On
occasion, some settings info can get corrupted and cause odd problems.
