Orbi RBK853 How to block a device from the internet but still connect to the LAN?

I have an wireless(wifi) HP printer which can be connected to with ease when access control for it is turned off.

When I go into access control(on mobile app as this feature is not available for some reason in the desktop browser control) and click the radio button to disable internet for it, those on the LAN lose connectivity to it.

How do I block the printer from being seen by the internet while still being visible to those devices on the LAN?

I should be able to simply block devices from accessing the WAN. Why is this so hard?

P.S. I have the RBK853 AX6000, not the RBK53 AC3000, but your system doesn't list what I have and won't let me put my actual model in the model field.

   Thanks for that detailed description.

What led you to believe that your (unspecified) "an wireless(wifi) HP
printer" _can_ be "seen by the internet"?  Is there some actual problem
which you are trying to solve?

There's a fundamental difference between "being seen by the internet"
and "accessing the WAN".

"I don't know how to do this" and "Doing this is hard" are spelled
differently for a reason.

If (for whatever reason) you actually want to prevent your
(unspecified) "an wireless(wifi) HP printer" from accessing the
Internet, then you might try this radical concept (which works for some
people):

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RTFM

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual (at least).  Read.  Look for
"Block services from the Internet".

Because that feature uses the LAN IP address of the device being
restricted, you'd also want to reserve an address for your (unspecified)
"an wireless(wifi) HP printer".  For that, look for "Address
Reservation".

Whether that would do anything useful for you is another question.
