2x8Tb drives
1 TopicNewbie wants advice over choice.
Hi, I think I need to get a diskless ReadyNas 212, but I would welcome some advice. My immediate need is for 8Tb of capacity, so I would understand that means buying 2 x 8Tb disks shown on the Compatibilty list. However, I think that the maximum capacity of the 212 is 16Tb. QUESTION Is that so? Ideally I would like to use higher capacity disks in the future, but because SSD is a growing market I wonder if they (WD, Seagate etc) will actually make them. Even if they did, it seems that the 212 is limited to 16Tb anyways. QUESTION Or should I get a 4 Bay model with 4x4Tb ? Does it run quiet and cool? QUESTION Finally, does anyone have any experience of the 8Tb drives in a ReadyNas? Does it run reliable, quiet and cool? Thanks for any advice guys ScramJetSolved
