24 TopicsRAX500 2.4 not allowing devices back on once disconnected.
I have a RAX500 Router, Firmware up-to-date and have had if for about 8 months. I have about 85 device connected/ Hardwired and 5G /2g connected. Over the last couple months I have had many issues with when a device goes offline it doesn't reconnect to the 2.4 until I change channel in the settings. Example my Alexa stops working unplug it still not connecting. Go to the app and try to configure it back to my 2.4 network and can't connect. I go into my router settings and change channel and it will reconnect. I also noticed that once device drops and doesn't connect any new device will not connect to the 2.4. Meaning I try to switch my phone / tablet from the 5G to 2.4G and doesn't connect. It only works when I change the channel. Also I have 2 Netgear wifi extenders their 2.4 G will allow me to connect devices when the main 2.4 doesn't.Replacing BT Home Hub 6 with DrayTek Vigor 130, then connecting to my Nighthawk RAX200, step by step
Replacing my BT Home Hub 6 with DrayTek Vigor 130, then connecting to my Nighthawk RAX200, step by step guide if possible. Hi. Looking for some not-too-techie guidance and help, if possible. My plan is: - I replace my existing BT Home Hub 6, with a DrayTek Vigor 130 modem - then, attaching my Netgear Nighthawk RAX200 to my new DrayTek Vigor 130 modem. - Can anyone give me 'an idiots guide' for how to configure my RAX200 for perfect harmony, between the Vigor130 and the RAX200 units. - do I perform a factory reset of the RAX200, so automatic configuration can sense the v130 modem and pick up up those settings - do I perform a factory reset of the RAX200, and manually set-up each section? If so, how... what should the settings be...? Any guidance, would be gratefully received. I want to slowly get the units into place, knowing I have reduced the option of failure, as much as possible. I have been advised I need to consider PPPoE, and DHCP. I also understand the Vigor will be in Bridge mode, which then leaves the RAX200 to manage the DHCP, and I have obtained then PPPoE information for my BT Broadband provision. You now know, all I know... but how do this... where to start, and each step until completion.. Many thanks, Martin (London)SolvedRax200 gaming help
So I recently bought a rax200 to hook up four gaming consoles. I have fiber to the house from my isp. I have also gotten a static ip which got rid of double nat type. Consoles lan in. And have reserved address. I have my nat type set to open and upnp enabled. It does grab work as I see it grabbing ports however the ports needed by both systems seems to be 3074 which for some reason only goes to one system. No matter what I have tried I keep getting moderate to strict on a few of them. If I port fwd or dmz that consoles in fine. I’m confused on how to proceed every YouTube video none seem to explain multiple console hook ups. Can have all four running and someone gonna get kicked eventually.RAXE500 email router logs daily/hourly not working
My email in advanced - security - email is configured properly with "daily" and "12:00 pm" set In administration - logs, I can send logs through email by clicking the "send logs" button. (a log entry is created) The issue is that I never see the logs sent at the scheduled specified time (or any time) It only works manually on demand What is needed to activate scheduling to have logs sent automatically? Firmware Version V1.0.1.52_2.0.34AX12 Nighthawk RAX120 DHCP and reserve issues
Hi, I've got several network devices. Both Wired and Wireless. I decided for security reasons to enable Access Control. I took a whole night adding each of my static and dhcp items to it's allow list. I also tried to reserve many of them so they would stop changing. I've never seen a Router that has so many inconsistancies with DHCP. Sure I have a lot of devices, but within surely within the limits. after all that time I found the next morning my cellhpone would not connect. It seems that DHCP eventually acts like it's released and renewed so much that my cellphone no longer can get an IP. Yet there are plenty non-reserved left. DHCP look screwed up in the logs, only showing 6, 2 byte values of the celphones MAC. Same goes with anything else that trys to connect. I have to reset the AX120, power cycle, 1 time even had to start over. But I have now given up and removed using Access Control. I have the latest FW loaded, but I have read oterh threads that suggest Newgear is aware of this and has been. I really ahte to have to set many of my devices to static. Anyone else know of this issue with DHCP. Thx, NukeAX120 total freeze up

Hello, Since purchasing the Nighthawk RAX200 router I have been having connetivity issues with some of my 2.4ghz band devices. These devices only connect to this band. The devices more specifically are a Nokia weight scale, and a WEMO wifi plug. The scale outright says my password is incorrect, and the plug intermittently has connection ( does not have connection more than it does ) The only fix I have found to resolve this issue is turning off the ax features and OFDMA... This is partially fine with me being that it has not affected wifi performance; however bothers me 1) because it's a cost benefit feature of the router, and 2) I had the RAX120 and upgraded to the RAX200 for the Tri-band. With the RAX120 I did not have these same issues with the ax OFDMA feature turned on. The other problem I had when moing to the RAX200 is using the NAS and DLNA features, it hardly worked and I finally got so frustrated with it I bought a readynas system. This feature also had no issues with the RAX120. So the question: Is this a firmware problem? Possible hardware defect? Or is there any other logical explanation that maybe I am not understanding. I'm more apt to think a firmware issue since it's a new router; as well as some of the other weird glitchy issues I have been having with this product.Nighthawk RAX200 AX12 - Bandwidth usage is not shown
Newly purchased Nighthawk RAX200 - everything works fine, except I can't see individual bandwidth usage in the device list. It's all just shows 0.00 Mbps for all upload/download Internet usage for everything. As the router is new, the bandwidth usage display never worked before, it shows flate out 0 for everything out of the box. The router also has the latest firmware (see version below), no further updates available at the moment. Please advise. Firmware Version V1.0.2.8_1.0.45
