Amazon Cloud Drive
5 TopicsCan ReadyNAS NV+ Sync with Amazon Cloud Drive?
I have a tried and true ReadyNAS NV+ with latest firmware (4.1.15). Any way I can sync shares with my Amazon Drive with this unit? Model: ReadyNAS NV+ [X-RAID] Serial: 23J30375002A4 Firmware: RAIDiator 4.1.15 [1.00a043] Memory: 256 MB [2.5-3-3-7]Solved4.4KViews0likes2CommentsAmazon Cloud Drive spontaneously deletes files
I have a Ready Nas 202 here at my office and a Ready Nas 102 at home, both running 6.6.0. Each box has a share which syncs with my Amazon Cloud Drive. So effectively, I have one data set in two locations. Both locations should mirror each other via the sync. This serves the same purpose as a VPN, without the connection issues. I'm only on one box at any given point in time (I'm the only user). The box here at the office backs up to an external USB drive overnight. This works fine, but I am running into a serious problem. When I am working on a document and make numerous saves and edits and saves etc., after I make the last save it spontaneously dissappears from the Ready Nas boxes and ends up in the Amazon Cloud Drive deleted folder. If I am fortunate enough to notice, I can log into Amazon, go to the deleted folder, and restore. This most typically occurs with Excel spreadsheets but I've seen it with MS Word docs and also pdf's. But its a consistent problem with Excel sheets. I opended a ticket with Amazon today, but has anyone encounter this problem or have other ideas?Solved[Question] ReadyNAS 6.6.0 and Amazon Cloud Drive backup share
I just recently upgraded my RN202 to 6.6.0 and I saw in release notes the first item under 'Improvements' is "Amazon Cloud Drive backup share is now optional." I'm curious how this works. Before updating to the new version I setup my Amazon Cloud backup with a brand new Cloud Drive account, so I don't have the problem that some others have had of having all their content from Amazon pulled down to their NAS. But I'm also not able to uncheck the 'Enable' checkbox under the 'Sync with Amazon Cloud Drive' settings for the AmazonCloudDrive share and I don't see any additional options that were not present on 6.5.x. I don't know if this matters or not but I am currently sycning up about couple hundred GBs. I guess I'm just not clear on exactly what that item in the release notes is referring to. Additionally I've noticed that the upload is kinda slow. This is not a problem for me since it's backup but it does make me curious if the device does any network throttling when making these backups to ensure that regular usage of the NAS isn't impacted. The job has been going for about 9 hours now and has copied maybe 40GB of data.Solved3.6KViews0likes3CommentsUpload to Amazon Cloud Drive is super slow
So, I finally managed to get Amazon Cloud Drive working, but I'm very surprised by the speed! And not in a good way! It took 14h to upload one share that I can backup with the crappy Amazon Tool in under one hour. And the files are from the same NAS too, and I'm using an even weaker CPU in the old Mac Mini doing it. I don't expect a magic solution, I just wanted to report this problem. While the sync is very useful, this speed + the fact that we are forced to backup a whole share (no folder control) is really disappointing. :/5.8KViews0likes5CommentsAmazon Cloud still not working with 6.6.0
Hello, After upgrading I still have that bug: I go to cloud, I click on the "off" switch to put it "On" in the "Sync With Amazon Cloud Drive" menu. I get the Amazon page. Credientials are OK, I auth the app, I get back to the option page in the ReadyNAS OS, and the button is still Off. (Hardware: ReadyNAS Ultra 6 Pro). What am I missing? Am I the only one with this weird bug? Thanks!Solved4.7KViews0likes5Comments
