For several weeks now I have been unable to login and use the Nighthawk app because every time I attempt to login the login times out and gives me a pop-up on the app screen. Is this app going to get fixed? I use the R6700v3 router and haven't had this much problems in years.721Views0likes1CommentR9000 To get three Months Free Plex pass promotion code click "here" is not working

Hey everyone, I’ve seen over 100 posts about this but not a single solution. I just got this router. Everything works well except Whatsapp. I’m using iPhone 11 and every time I make voice or video calls on Whatsapp or receive calls and touch “answer” button, the internet connection stops working. I always have to switch to cellular data to be able to talk or video chat. Is there any solution to fix this? This doesn’t happen on any other apps. Only whatsapp. Thanks, Dave3.1KViews0likes5CommentsIPv6 connectivity not available
Hi! My Xiaomi Mi TV Stick is connected in Wifi (5Ghz) with a Netgear R6700v3. To get the french canals TV, I use an application "OQEE" by Free (A french Internet Provider). When I launch the app, I get a regular message : "IPv6 connectivity not available". So I can't receive the french canals in live. Is-it a setting to change inside the router ? Thank you. JeanI need Help! Nighthawk AC1900 Smart WiFi Router (R7000)
No Tech Savvy and very confused. I have a Nighthawk AC1900 Smart Router (R7000) and I have been having the following problems: Slow Internet Lose Connection, but on my computer it says it is connected? I have to go to my Nighthawk App and Bitdefender App and do a scan to get back on the internet. Also when I go to my NightHawk App on y Cell it always Reads different to how many Devices it is protecting under Device Manager. I usually have to Reboot my Router to get back on the internet. Both with my Cell and Computer? With all these accounts, App, and Programs Non Of Them Run In Sink. Meaning I have to go in and Tweek them somehow to start working or turn on. All my Subscription are active. I have turned them off and logged out-logged back in to know eval? It has become confusing and frustrating. Apparently Netgear or Nighthawk doesn't provide any support after your 90 Warranty? I Have NightHawk App on my iPhone I have Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac I Have Bitdefender VPN I Have Bitdefender Central on my iPhone I Have Bitdefender VPN on my iPhone I Have Bitdefender Armor on my iPhone If anyone could help guid me in the right direction that would be Great. ThanksLooks like Nighthawk is abandoned
To all who are curious. It seems Nighthawk is an abandoned product. I loved it when I first got it but recently I tried to activate their services so I could manage my router. It seems the app is unable to connect to their servers for anything other than taking the money for them as everything still shows up as trial and can't activate. I say this is abandoned because upon troubleshooting I see the issue has been around for a year and no progress or troubleshooting steps have been taken since. I have installed the newest firmware, of which the old was newer than this issue, and I've cleared caches on the phone, confirmed the subscription as active, and reinstalled the app while it was inactive. I have an S21 ultra and an S10+ so compatibility isn't an issue and yet still no change. While I understand there may be complications that are reasonable to create this situation, I believe that a patch to allow people to use their hardware without paywalls that can't be breached would be reasonable. Count all installs as purchased or update the firmware so the unit doesn't insist on going through the app. Something to show you accept the fault and plan to correct it once the problems have been sorted. In the mean time, everyone who is uninformed will continue to purchase the services of your product and be charged for a subscription that can't be supplied. I'm sure you're not trying to take peoples money for nothing so please do something to address the issue until it can be resolved properly.1.3KViews0likes3CommentsDevice Names change to -- in device list r6700v3 when using Nighthawk App
Nighthawk r6700v3 (though I have seen this problem or similar no matter the model) Firmware V1.0.3.66_10.0.50 Nighthawk App Version 2.2.9.495 Problem: Customized/Edited device names change to -- I have had this router since Feb 4, 2019 and noticed this problem immediately. In the beginning I used the Nighthawk App to set up and manage the router. Sometimes the edited device names would change to -- and I was not sure why or what triggered it. I contacted Netgear support via chat and they had me change the router name to something customized, anything other than r6700v3 and then hard boot. I did this and it seemed to fix the problem for a few days, or so I thought. After a few days the problem returned and I contacted them back again via chat. To make a long story short, I went through a few techs in chat that had me try various things from factory reset and setting back up, access via the browser ability, enable Qos, disable Qos, and one tech actually said it was a problem with the Nighthawk app and I would have to wait until they corrected it. I was contacted by a tech that I had been accidentally disconnected with in chat, as a follow up. I updated the case with the information she requested. She then contacted me back a day later with a request for more information. During this time I decided to do some testing on my own. I previously worked for a software company for several years and part of that was in an dept that was between support and QA. We documented defects in the wild, tested them and sent the information onto developement, and then tried to come up with a work around. I used the browser exclusively for a couple of days and there was no problems I used the Nighthawk app to pause a device that was named and it changed to -- right in front of my eyes. I checked the browser and it showed changed via it as well. I tested this several times. Results of this testing were: Anytime I paused or resumed/allowed a named device using the Nighthawk app it changed. Using the browser to pause or allow it did not change. My previous router I used Netgear Genie do I downloaded this app again and tried it. It could pause, unpause, edit names without an issue. I tried various combinations of pause/block and allow/unpause and only when the Nighthawk app was used does the device name change to --. Qos on or off did not seem to have an effect. I will be turning it on soon and tuning for gaming. If there are any changes I will post to this topic. Renaming the router had no effect in conjunction with using the Nighthawk app. The problem always happened using the nighthawk app and pausing/allow devices in the list. Resetting router I checked for the issue before updating the firmware to the current and the problem happened only with the nighthawk app. The problem seems to happen with just the Nighthawk app, likely it has to do with whatever file holds the device names and associated information. I would think that this would be kept in a simple log file and the issue is with the type of admin access the Nighthawk app is given or how it writes/retrieves the file. It really does not seem like a problem that would take a lot to correct, other than the Nighthawk app was developed by a different team than the Genie and the integration with the browser. Work around: Just do not use the nighthawk app. The extra features it has are great but nothing in it do I see absolutely needed within the app. I use the browser integration and the Genie app. Suggestions: 1) I bought the lowest end Nighthawk to see how well it works and to be able to remote manage my router. I have kids and sometimes their devices need to have internet access cut off when I choose, and not just on a schedule. I told at least two of the techs that this is the reason I got this router. The only solution I was given was to access the router via a web browser when I am away from home but I notice the Genie has this function. 2) Further developement of the apps should allow support required information to be automatically sent to support when contacting them. Firmware version, App version, etc. 3) Better training of the techs so that a customer is not repeating themselves, and so that all information is kept in the same case number. Each tech I contacted opened a new case. That makes it more difficult for the tech to see everything that has been done before. 4) Give Loren (the tech that is still in contact with me) a raise or promotion. Our chat session got cut off just after me explaining the situation and she contacted me back to see if the problem was resolved. Not a single other tech showed that concern. 5) The tech that told me it was the app should ahve also told me I could use the Genie app instead. 6) This needs to be made into a bulletin and sent out to the techs once it is verified. No Option for Anywhere Access
My app doesn’t have option for anywhere access. I followed the below support article but there was no option for Anywhere Access (screenshot attached) Phone is connected to WiFi, router is on latest firmware, app is also latest version. https://kb.netgear.com/000058239/How-do-I-enable-or-disable-Anywhere-Access-on-my-NETGEAR-or-Orbi-router1.6KViews0likes2CommentsEX6250 Mesh Extender doesn't connect anymore
Most recent Android app update made me unable to use my mesh extender EX6250. I've since factory reset the extender, and tried to reconnect, but the app keeps crashing when "personalizing settings" during setup. Have also reinstalled Android app, but to no avail. So now the Mesh Extender doesn't work. WPS can only connect 2.4ghz but not 5ghz.1.2KViews0likes3CommentsCircle filtering question on Nighthawk 7960p
Hi all, Simple question, I think. In the Circle parental control/filtering app, which is an option for my Netgear Nighthawk R7960p we have some adult and dating sites listed in History under Filtered for a teenager. Is there any way that filtered content could be getting generated by ad content on a different page, or is the only way that URL shows up in flitered sites is if a user actually enters in that url in a browser, or uses an app for that company?615Views0likes1Comment
