BT Home Hub 5
1 TopicWN3000RP and BT Home Huib 5 not seeing eachother
Hi all, Have an old WN3000RP ranmeg extender (an origional one I giuess, as no V1, V2 etc extensions to its name) which has always managed to automatically change its address whenever I have chanegd routers before. Have just upgraded from a BT Hiome Hub 2 to a Home Hub 5 with infinity, and this time it hasn't. Still shows as an available network on the PC, but still with its old HomeHub 2-EXT address. Have tried 1) synching using WPS 2) factory reset, 3) hardwiring to the router using the WN3000RP's ethernet port (I suspect its output only, but hey, I'm desperate!) and 4) accessing the local Netgear browser to help me - won't even conmnect it as it says 'Internet not found'. All lights are green, apart from the 'Link Rate light'. Any ideas? It shows as a Secured available network on the PC with good strength (its sat right next to the PC) so it is 'seeing' it, but when you try and connect it responds with 'No Internet, Secured'. Suspect if I could make it 'jumo' from its old Home Hub 2_EXT address to a Home Hub 5_EXT like it always has by itself in the past, all will be well, but am fresh out of ideas on how to do this. Yours, baffled, Charlie2.9KViews0likes3Comments
