1 TopicUnable to create new user accounts or amend existing user accounts on a RN202
ReadyNAS 202, Firmware 6.6.0 I have been trying to amend existing users which were created back when I first installed and configured the readyNAS on firmware 6.5.1 dated in July 2016, however if I attempt to amend the user i.e change the password and rename the user, the apply button is enabled and selecting this does nothing, similarly attempting to create a new user ends in the same result. The button appears to be unresponsive, no error messages are generated and waiting to see if this is just slow response times has not resulted in the account being amended or created. I've re-booted, cleared cache, checked I am in the right mode with the Access Type set to Local Users. Also checked firmware is on the latest which it appears to be. I did come across a similar thread where the workaround suggested was to reset to factory default, but this is not an option with the amount of data I have and should only be a last resort. Curiously I am still able to delete accounts and I can see and access shares along with all other elements of the ReadyNAS appearing to function as expected. I am hoping that I've just missed something obvious but I cannot see it, also double checked against the user notes and there is nothing obvious I am doing wrong, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. HeathSolved1.8KViews0likes3Comments
