FVS336Gv3 - How to connect to IPoE and get dynamic address?
I have a Netgear FVS336Gv3 dual-WAN router. I am trying to configure it to connect via a bridge-mode Actiontec T3200 modem (Windstream DSL). Windstream informs me that this connection uses IPoE instead of PPPoE, and instructed me to configure the router in dynamic (DHCP) mode. For some reason, the router does not get a public IP address assigned to the WAN port when connected to this modem. I tested by connecting my laptop directly to the T3200 and the laptop is immediately assigned a public IP address (NOT a private address) and can access the internet. I have a Spectrum Business modem connected to the other WAN port of this router, and it obtains an address and works fine. Any guidance is appreciated.Solved8.3KViews0likes4Comments
