206 TopicsRV rooftop antennae for MR6550 nighthawk
Hi, We recently looked into getting an RV and are wondering about combination antenna like the Winegard 360deg which has AM/FM, TV, WiFi, and LTE/5G capability which seems to be very popular, but wanted to investigate other options. What have people used with their Nighthawks that they'd recommend? ThanksNetgear Nighthawk M1 Mobile Router - how do I set it up with an eSIM?
Hey! I have a Netgear Nighthawk mobile router which was under contract with O2 as the data provider. I have now cancelled the data contract and kept the router. I've removed the physical sim (the old O2 one). Now I want to set it up with a new data provider. I have an eSIM from Revolut as part of my banking. Does anyone have any clear instructions as to how I can do this? (set up my Nighthawk to use my eSIM provider for data). Alternatively, I also have my data available via my phone data contract (still with O2) - could that also work? Thanks!MR1100 M1 in a cold environment
I am considering purchasing a Nighthawk MR1100 M1 mobile hotspot with an external antenna to be placed in an unheated metal building in order to run a couple of security cameras. Can I leave the charger plugged in 100% of the time or will the lithium ion battery fail. Winter temps can be as low as 25 degrees below zero.Explore models of Cell Service Mobile Hotspot Modems, AirCards, & Mobile Routers

Hi! I recently got an unlocked M6 via Amazon Renewed (MR6110). I have a T-mobile BYOD plan, and I checked the IMEI number with the t-mobile website, which shows no issues. When I put in my sim card, it just says "searching." It shows the device info and the number and all that, but it can't find the network. At first, the M6 was saying it's connected to the Verizon network, but it wouldn't connect to T-mobile at all. After calling support at t-mobile, I added the APN settings to match my current router. It's weird: my current router works just fine with the sim card, t-mobile says that there are no issues on their end. Any ideas about what I'm doing wrong or how to troubleshoot this? I do know that the firmware is out of date on this router... but I can't update it without internet.... Any ideas??? T-Mobile suggested that it's a hardware problem, but no one can describe WHY the hardware would be bad... and I don't want to try to return and get another router unless I have some hope that a new one might actually work! Thanks for your help!M1100 initial setup won't work
Hi. I have just received the m1100 mobile router and am really stuck on getting it working. I am not a tech expert but usually do just fine and this is overly complicated to me. I am in Canada and bought an unlocked device. I will be using it this summer in Europe but wanted to test it to ensure it works before I leave. I am using my phone's sim card in the router and can't even connect to the device's wifi network that is displayed on the device with password. My wife managed to get her phone connected (it said) but no data was getting there when she tried using her phone. I saw the video for the apn set up but my browser wont connect to the isp # given either. I'll be calling support on Monday but thought I'd post here if anyone has a better walk through than the manual - as I said it wont connect to the wifi connection that the device shows me. so that's issue 1.Questions with Netgear Nighthawk travel router
Hi all, I hope this finds everyone safe and well. I purchased a Netgear Nighthawk M1 router, and couldn't be happier with it. This thing is incredible! I have four (hopefully quick and easy) questions, that I was hoping I could get some feedback / answers to. 1.Do external Antennas boost WiFi signal? I have a small unit and the reception (WiFi) doesn't seem to make it to my spare bedroom (office). 4G reception, however, is perfect. Do the plug in antennas boost WiFi, or only 4G signal, or both? Does anyone have any recommendations for a good set? 2. Can I turn off the blue LED? Sometimes I take the modem into the bedroom so I can use the Google Chromecast. I know it's bad to have WiFi and wireless in the bedrooms, but it doesn't reach from the kitchen. The blue LED drives me bonkers. Can I turn it off? I can't seem to find it in the app settings. 3. Is it bad to leave it running 24/7 with the battery in? Can I take the battery out and use it 24/7? 4. Can I use a WiFi extender if I have my SSID set to hidden mode? I have a TP Link AC750 travel router, but I can't seem to add a hidden SSID to extend the WiFi range. I was wondering if maybe this is not possible. A massive thanks in advance for all your help, tips, suggestions, etc. Have a great weekend.4G LTE Speed Expectations
I just purchased a 4G LTE SIM card from T-Mobile for my Netgear M6 Pro as I wanted to see what speeds I would get using 4G. On my Laptop connected to my Comcast WIFI I'm getting 374MBps Down and 41MBps UP. When I connect to my Netgear device on 4G LTE I'm getting 35MBps DOWN and 17MBps UP. Is this what should be expected for 4G speeds? I'll probably take this SIM card back and purchase a 5G plan. I was hoping I could save some money as there will be several days of the month when I won't even use this Hotspot. https://www.reddit.com/r/NETGEAR/comments/1643q3a/4g_lte_speed_expectationsNighthawk M2 as backup-modem to my RBR863
I was wondering if it is possible to add my Nighthawk M2 Mifi router to an excisting lay-out as a sort of back-up when the 'landline' isnt working. current setup: Modem -wired connection- RBR860 -wired connection- RBS860 (2satellites) Can i use the second WAN port on the RBR860 to make a wired connection to the Nighthawk M2 as a failsafe? Thanx in advanceWill a Canadian Telus sim work in a Nighthawk MR5100 AT&T Hotspot?
I’m in Canada. I acquired the Nighthawk MR5100 AT&T through another provider, which I cancelled. I now have Canadian Telus but don’t have a 5G device except for this random hotspot device, so I was wondering if I could use it, and what configuration I would use? I currently have sp.Telus.com as the APN, and PDP as ‘IPV4’, but doesn’t work. I’m going to assume it’s not compatible because it’s the equivalent of being ‘locked’, but I thought I’d ask. Thank you
