WN2000RPTv2 Wifi Speed Issues
So i've had this extender (Netgear WN2000RPT v2) for some time now and never had any issues with it, moved to other homes and was able to set it up again and again with no issues. But, up until about a week ago, January 16th 2017, my internet speed when connected to my extender wasnt as fast as it usually was. I first noticed this when i was playing League of Legends on my laptop that is connected to my extender directly, my ping in game would jump up to +200 ms than my usual 45-75 ms, and would keep fluctuating and just made playing the game impossible to enjoy. I thought maybe it was just the servers for LOL, but when i tried to watch a video on youtube in 480p it would stop to buffer and it has NEVER done that before. Ive tried reseting my extender and router, checking to see if any firmware updates need to be installed, there were none. But i have had no luck with finding a soltion to this issue and im not sure what else to do. Even dissconnecting devices from my network didnt help and in some cases made my ping go even higher in game! This could very well be just League of Legends but, since i had issues with watching a video on youtube im starting to doubt that's the reason. I am open to any and all suggestions but, i think maybe the best solution is to buy a new extender all together. Thanks in advance for your help!
