1 TopicProblems with LMS on ReadyNas 202
Back in March of this year I replaced my old NV Duo with a ReadyNas 202. I installed LMS (from the apps available at http://apps.readynas.com/pages/?page_id=9) so I could continue to stream a music library via my Squeezeboxes. All worked very well until recently when I noticed that other devices in the house (Revo, Roberts and various media boxes) were no longer seeing the LMS server, even though the Squeezeboxes were still working perfectly. Trouble came when I wanted to get to the LMS settings to in order to rescan my music library. The LMS app would not launch, thus preventing me from accessing the user interface. I checked all my firewall settings and could not see why the connection was being blocked. I therefore decided to remove LMS from my installed apps and install the most recent version which I believe to be 7.9. Here is where the problems really started! First port of call, as before, was: http://apps.readynas.com/pages/?page_id=9. However there is now listed only the x86 and not the ARM version of LMS. So, I trawled the net and uploaded what I thought might be the correct deb file for the RN202, but, even though I got notification to say that the app had installed successfully, it would not appear on the installed apps screen. The only one that will actually appear after successful installation is this one: nastools-logitechmediaserver_7.9.0.20160617.858e1e0-nt1_armel.deb However, when I try to activate it, the RN202 will initially attempt toggle ON, but will then after a few seconds revert to the OFF position. Thus I am still unable to launch to the LMS user screen. On one or two occasions I got the message: - empty resource error. bad nml call. code 22002010000. Needless to say, I can now no longer stream my music library via the squeezeboxes. Could anyone point me in the direction of the correct LMS for the RN202 or perhaps even the old one that I now regret having deleted? Much appreciated! Steve
