Windows 10 New PC taking too long to process data on NAS
Been using the NAS for approx 10 months on a Windows 7 PC. Upgraded to new PC running Win 10 Pro. Since then, everything seems to be working ok, can copy, move files ok, open files, save files, etc. The problem occurs when I want to copy data within a spreadsheet in Excel, either to paste ove itself as values only, or into a new spreadsheet. For example, 10,000 records copied on old Win 7 machine, approx 1 second, new Win 10 machine, approx 45 seconds (with frequent "not responding" headers). We also run software called XMPie, by Xerox. We use InDesign to open files, and XMPie to process them. This will not even run on the new setup at all, it crashes. If I however create or copy a file to the local PC and run it, it is fine, its just when the document is opened on the NAS, it will crash when run. It seems to be a communication problem between the PC and the NAS, they don't seem to be talking to each other properly, but I cannot find anything in settings or users that looks different to before. Help..........please.........
