NAS inaccesable
1 Topicbtrfs search forward +2d4 error on RN204
For few weeks I get an "btrfs search forward +2d4" error in my RN204 status window and after that the NAS is inaccesable by network PC's and no longer responsive even does not react to pushing power button. If I get this error I can only power-off the NAS by removing the powercord. When I plug in the NAS again it reboots without any error messages and I can access NAS volume on my networked PCs but after a while the error "btrfs search forward +2d4" returns. This error appeared for the first time about a month ago and since then I have tried several things to get rid of this error. Amongst others I performed manual maintenance (scrub, defrag, balance) and these tasks all seemed to run without any erors. However the error keeps comming back (quite frequently now in fact). Disk status seems OK (Reports Heathy) and there is stil sufficient free space on the NAS. NAS RN204 details: Firmware v6.6.0 Disk status seems OK (Reports Heathy) on all 4 WD 6TB drives (WD60EFRX) There is stil sufficient free space (9.5Tb free) on the NAS. The error showed up after recent update of the firmware and the error message coincided with some of my files all of a sudden becomming read-only (again something I seem unable to repair/change). Yesterday all of a sudden I seem to have lost several directories on my NAS as they are no longer visible, but there is no indication of these actually no longer being on the drives as the ammount of free space did not change. Is my NAS defective? Or are disks defective? I cannot find anything on internet on how to solve this error or how to proceed. Can anyone please help me to solve this issue?
