NAS server failure
1 TopicWhat if NAS server fails? Can I read disks outside NAS server?
Dear forum-mates, I have zeroed in to buy RN204 based on my usage. But one thing not clear to me from my internet search is that Q1) What if the NAS server fails? Is there any way to read disks outside NAS server? The simple solution for NAS server failure is that I buy a another server and put the disks there. Yes, it is fine. But what happens if my sever fails after 15 years and I find no compatible NAS servers. OR what if even I find a supposedly a compatible NAS server and the disk is not decryptable in the new server, after all I notice many issues in the forum like volume not recognaized after upgrade and so on... Please clarify. Thank you very much. Best Regards Kumaran
