Parental Controls not working, potential DNS issue
Orbi RBR50v2 Firmware V2.7.4.24 ISP: Comcast Xfinity I've recently resubscribed to parental controls and armor however they do not appear to be working (i.e. device specified with content filtering is allowing browsing to objectionable content). It appears the DNS is set to Xfinity's DNS service (75.75.75.75, 75.75.76.76) and the ability to change is disabled. My understanding is that the parental controls should be using it's own preferred DNS service. Trying to solve this before demanding a refund on services that don't operate correctly. Apparently, despite having just subscribed to these services I am not permitted to open a case with support. Any pointers would be appreciated.Bitdefender Armor
I am using my router for 5 months. Today I just suscribed to the Netgear Armor and it identified 84 devices but my Nighthawks app sees (only) 23. something like 15 computers, 25 mobile devices, etc. Could there be an history of earlier connections, even before I purchased this Armor? Should I delete them all and see what will happen with current devices ?
Renewed Armor for $40, but charged full $99
WTH! I renewed Armor for a discounted price of $40 over the weekend, effective today, and today NetGear charged my credit card the full $99! To make matters worse, I can’t even call a customer service line to resolve it. WTH?! I’m so ticked, I’m about to dispute the charge. Somebody at NetGear better fix this immediately. Not a happy customer. I can’t get the attachment feature here to work so I can upload the screenshot of my confirmation, but the conf number is 152630065.Netgear Armor picking up and blocking constant threats - alarming!
My husbands I-phone has been receiving a constant barrage of threats (see photos attached). All have been blocked, but they are very alarming to me. Has anyone ever seen anything like this before? Any recommendations on what to do next?NIGHTHAWK MR60 - Cannot renew Armor Security
The Armor security protection (Bitdefender?) on my nighthawk app is telling me that my year free trial expires today. For the past couple of weeks, an offer for a 35% discount on renewal has been displayed in the app, but when I tap on it, it comes back with a "failed to subscribe" message, and doesn't let me proceed. I thought perhaps I just had to wait until the day of expiration (which is today) ... but it still won't let me process a renewal. I'm worried that the protection might "lapse" at some point. Anyone have any ideas how to get around this? Hard to believe they are making it this difficult to renew!
RBR50 and Armor
I keep getting a message that says "Configuration issue detected on ZTE 968." I don't have a ZTE 968. I don't know if one has connected to my network at some point and I don't know who it is or what. I'm concerned it's a security breach. The message usually comes in between midnight and 6 AM. I don't know if it's someone driving by or what. Is there a way to block it if I don't have the MAC address or any other information? Thanks.
