RN4220
3 TopicsFirmware Update RN4220 from 6.6.1 -> 6.7.4
I have an RN4220 with an iSCSI LUN that we use as a backup destination for our network. It's fully populated with 4TB WD Enterprise drives. I've been nagged with the "Firmware update available 6.6.1 -> 6.7.4" screen for a while, and had an opportunity to take down the backup server so I could firmware update the RN4220. 45 minutes ago, I clicked the Update button on the web console. It downloaded, said it needed to do a reboot. Pings dropped off, and it's not come back online since that point in time. The power light is flashing green, no other disk activity is evident. Next step? Never had to troubleshoot this thing before...2.6KViews0likes2CommentsRN4220 Red Error light on
Hi, suddently in my readynas RN4220 Red LED notification is always ON, i could not find the reason why the RED notification light is on. I have checked in the system console for any errors, logs and everything looks fine. All my redundant power supply is connected, using X raid, all the HDDs are green. Is there any way to find the issue behind the Red LED indication? Thanks.Swapping Network Card - 10GbE for CX4
I have a ReadyNAS 4220 that came with a dual port 10 Gigabit Ethernet card, I need to replace it with the CX4 add-on card. I've replaced the card, but I am not seeing the ports in ifconfig nor the frontview interface. I guess I need to update the kernel or install the ixgbe driver? I'm savvy to compiling kernels and modules for Linux, but I am not clear on where to obtain the headers, since there aren't any provided when using the linux-headers-`uname -a` trick, Linux SERVER 3.0.101.RNx86_64.3 #1 SMP Thu Dec 18 18:35:16 PST 2014 x86_64 GNU/Linux If I upgrade to the latest version of ReadyNAS OS will the driver compile automatically? I feel like it's sort of crazy that with so few addon card options, they all aren't included with the OS.. Thank you!Solved
