Remove alerts
1 TopicHow can I remove alerts (OS6.4.2)?
OK, so I've grown tired of all of the alerts Netgear won't let me disable, like notices that the backup units powered on and off as scheduled and that the volume is 70% full. So, I went to delete the alert contact. No can do. Selecting the minus blanks it, but if you refresh, you see it didn't really delete it. "Send test message and apply" doesn't work and complains it's not a valid email address. OS 4.2.x had separate buttons for a test message and apply, so you could apply a blank. So is this yet another feature that the "improvement" isn't one? Is there some secret "nobody@nowhere" I can use to disable alerts? iIs it safe to just SSH and delete /etc/frontview/alert.conf and /etc/msmtprc? I'd really prefer not to have to reload the firmware (if that would even do it) and have to re-enter my configurations.Solved2.6KViews0likes4Comments
