4 TopicsPlex - adding third party channels.
I have successfully installed Plex from the admin interface. I've set up the folders for scanning and the system stems to be working correctly. I've placed my music there, and can access it from external plex players. I did the default installation. (I say that to say it appears to be working fine.) I would like to add third party channels. Is there away to use the ReadyNAS interface to drop the files in to the proper folder (with in the Plex install)? I have temporarilly enabled SSH, since this appears to be the only method. I have access, but it would appear the admin account does not have WRITE access to the proper folder. How do I change permissions, if this account doesn't have them already? Thanks in advance for any info. RichHow do do you modify bind-address in my.cnf without SSH ?
How do I modify the my.cnf file and specifically the property “bind-address = 0.0.0.0 “in order allow connections to MySQL from another PC, without having to SSH into the box and edit the file using vi? The reason is that I am still under warranty and have been told that enabling SSH voids my readynas warranty so would ideally like to do this without putty or SSH ideally through PHPMyAdmin ?3.5KViews0likes3CommentsFinding Readynas file structure
I am using SSH to move a file to a directory where I can edit it and then move out back. Everytime I us the ls. command in the root directory nothing is returned, therefore I can't see the potential directory to move it to. Can anyone help me with the file structure on a Readynas OS6 unit?Solved
