With parental controls enabled, all devices connected to the router report “untrusted or invalid certificate” when attempting to access the internet. Disabling parental controls on the router clears the error and then re-enabling allows devices to access normally . All devices report the error every morning as long as parental controls are enabled. Firmware v4.6.14.4. The certificate error is associated with Circle Labs and appears to have too long of an active period - 20 years. How can we get an updated, trusted and valid certificate?Parental Controls not working, potential DNS issue
Orbi RBR50v2 Firmware V2.7.4.24 ISP: Comcast Xfinity I've recently resubscribed to parental controls and armor however they do not appear to be working (i.e. device specified with content filtering is allowing browsing to objectionable content). It appears the DNS is set to Xfinity's DNS service (75.75.75.75, 75.75.76.76) and the ability to change is disabled. My understanding is that the parental controls should be using it's own preferred DNS service. Trying to solve this before demanding a refund on services that don't operate correctly. Apparently, despite having just subscribed to these services I am not permitted to open a case with support. Any pointers would be appreciated.CIRCLE & APPLE TV
I am using the Orbi RBR20 with integrated Circle. Circle is not seeing Apple TV traffic. I have tried it connected by LAN and wireless. I have verifed the MAC address being used by the Apple TV matches the one shown on the router for the Apple TV (I have previously seen different MAC addresses being logged for the Apple TV). There was a very brief period of time when the Apple TV traffic was recorded/monitored/controlled by Circle. That was when I first switched it from wired LAN to wifi, but I cannot get it to do so again. I have found no one else posting a similar problem on any forum. Does anyone have any idea of what may be going on?704Views0likes1CommentParental Profile Device Limit Bug
If you have more than 20 devices in the default home profile, placing the, for example, 24th item into a child profile. It can’t be removed and put back into the default home profile without paying for parental controls because you “can’t have a profile over 20 devices.” So I would have to pay to no longer have a device in a profile for parental controls because it can’t go back to the default. That makes no sense. Y’all missed a check in the code to make sure the device limit doesn’t apply for the default home profile that every device is automatically added to. I have an RBR850 three unit mesh system with Smart Parent Controls subscription. I just learned today that even though I have my kids profiles set to disable internet at 11pm, they can still connect a VPN and access anything. Under Content Level - Categories, the VPNs and Proxies are also blocked full time in their profile. After catching them and taking away all their devices indefinitely, they admitted to being able to do this as long as they can remember, so this isn’t a new bug. This is super disappointing for a product this expensive. Basically the parental controls are completely worthless, and worse, it doesn’t even show usage on their profile.1.1KViews1like1CommentI can not receive the circle pass code

It always asks me to enter the "Passcode". as I remember, I didn't setup my cell phone number into circle. is it possible to reset my account.2.8KViews1like7CommentsLarge # of devices blocked
Extremely frustrating problem: some devices stopped connecting to the internet. I logged on to the router "Access Control" page and a bunch of devices (at least 15-20 at one point) said "Blockeed" in red. Checking the boxes next to the devices and clicking "Allow" then "Apply" did nothing. These include phones, TVs, random smart devices, nothing that I have purposely blocked by name, MAC address or IP address. I have Netgear Armor as well as the built in Circle but I did not see any problems. I was concerned that perhaps the Armor was detecting a security threat and blocking devices on its own? Very troubling. I disabled Armor but it did not seem to make a difference. I have RBR50, RBS50 and RBS40. Firmware 2.7.4.24. Any thoughts?867Views0likes3Comments
