Hey together, Attention - I'm not responsible if you damage your NAS. This is not a built in function. Just had again the problem that I'd like to know which snapshot is consuming a lot of space, because sometimes it is so hard to know where, and if it makes sense. Found this script here: https://ownyourbits.com/2017/12/06/check-disk-space-of-your-btrfs-snapshots-with-btrfs-du/ wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/nachoparker/btrfs-du/master/btrfs-du -O /usr/local/sbin/btrfs-du chmod +x /usr/local/sbin/btrfs-du runned the script on my btrfs volume like: btrfs-du /data/ actually it seems like it could be working. (at least after the change: https://github.com/nachoparker/btrfs-du/issues/9#issuecomment-380427001 ). But I have to verify a little more. Perhaps some people here, which are knowing readynas better than me would also take an eye on it?864Views1like1CommentR6700 1.0.1.46 breaks UPnP?
Upgraded to 1.0.1.46 last night. Had an issue streaming with Plex this morning (access held fine for 2-3 songs then died completely). Plex remote access then became completely inaccessible, in addition to some other cameras and services that should be leveraging UPnP. Checked a bunch of logs and updated software/firmware of all the other equipment (even though none of the other logs were throwing up any errors). Even the R6700 logging area was showing access entries for everything, even though things still weren't accessible. Rolled back to 1.0.1.44 and everything is working again. Some other items to note: - I did not try a factory reset after upgrading as some threads suggest. - The UPnP page had no entries listed while I was experiencing the issue. Entries appeared again after I rolled back. - On my journey I also tried both Secure and Open NAT filtering. - Manually specifying ports (Plex) for remote access didn't help for that software. I wasn't able to try changing ports and explicitly allowing for other devices/software. So maybe not UPnP specifically... but something firewall related to that service. I'm not really sure where to go next and I'm posting more so for anyone else that might have the issue. I guess I'll wait for whatever is after 1.0.1.46 to try again and/or until I have more time to try a factory reset and restore.SolvedChromecast (Google Home) on Orbi -- not able to see all speakers
My wifi devices cannot see all of my Google Home devices in order to Chromecast. Depending on whether I'm connected to 5/2.4 GHz or the base station/satellite, I see a different collection of Chromecast speakers and groups, but never all of them at the same time. Casting only works most of the time. Re-setting up the speakers often leads to "your phone is unable to communicate with the Google Home" errors and a link to help article on AP isolation, though they can all connect to the wifi just fine. Repeating the setup multiple times eventually succeeds but the problem of not being able to see all the speakers persists. I've tried getting them all on the 5 GHz band by disabling Fast Roaming, I've tried disabling daisy chain / MIMO / beamforming, all with no success. Everyone seems to indicate that Google Wifi works great, so I'm assuming it's a bridge setting or something buried in Netgear that's causing the problem, rather than an inherent problem with mesh networks. Extensive Googling hasn't really turned much up. Does anyone have any tips? I'm on firmware 2.1.4.10.Another disconnection from auto update firmware - imagine that
2.1.4.10 has been a disconnecting mess... I downgraded and enjoyed normal connectivity for about a week. Woke up to flashing rave party orbi which had auto updated back to 2.1.4.10. Disconnected of course. Thanks Netgear. Since getting this back in Nov 17, I've maybe enjoyed 1.5 months of stability. Can you attach a powerline adapter to the satellite?
So, as some of you may know, the xbox one x has connectivity issues with the internet. This really sucks when you pay $500 for a "top of the line system" and it will disconnect you at any moment. Looking through forums, it sounds like the best fix is to use a wired connection, however, that's not possible in my case. I'm in a mother-in-law suite with the main orbi router and satellite in the main house. Note, I didn't have wifi problems before, and all devices but the xbox can connect without a problem. Is it possible to connect a powerline adapter to the satellite, which is closest to me, and connect it to another adapter in the mother-in-law suite?ORBI RBK52W Specifications
I am considering purchasing an Orbi system, however, I am frustrated that I an unable to speak to a knowledgeable company representative about the specifications for the RBK52W that are listed in the following link: https://kb.netgear.com/000038220/Which-Orbi-WiFi-System-is-best-for-me Before I pull the plug and purchase a Linksys mesh system I thought I would post this question in the forum. Specifically the above link shows that the RBK52W bundle consists of one RBR50 (AC3000) unit and two RBW30 (AC2200) units. It also indicates that the Back Haul speed is 4x4 (1.7 GBS). Is this accurate? How can the RBW30 (2x2) satellite units communicate with the RBR50 (4x4) at this speed? Any help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated. I am really surprised that Netgear does not provide pre-purchase sales support.
