I cannot set up a database in mysql using phpmyadmin. Both apps are installed on the NAS. Occarding to the documentation a configuration file in mysql needs to be installed. But there's no directory I can read to (re)place the config file.Appaently I need Debian to read and write mysql files. My local computer works with windows10. Question is: how to (re)place the config file in mysql?New users cannot access any ReadyNAS shares after latest firmware update
After the FW upgrade of my Ready NAS 102 requested from Netgear, all users created after the upgrade cannot access any public or specific shared folders nor any specific folder of newly added users(s). User is successfully created at MyNetgear and added to ReadyNAS. After adding to the ReadyNAS, no user folder was created in the “home” folder. All other former users have their own folders in the “home” created. Folders in the “home” have the name in form of users’ e-mail addresses. Even after installing ReadyCloud app only backup folders of particular user are accessible, despite of setting share rights to this user. No access is possible even from the ReadyCloud app itself. For example the public folder “FamilyMusic” is accessible from all previously created users and DLNA devices but not to new users. New user has also no way to map any specific folder(s), despite all other previously existing users can map any folder if sharing is set. Every newly added user gets “access denied”. What's wrong with this FW?Solved2.7KViews0likes3CommentsFile/Folder Permission Issue - Intermitant
Hi I have ReadyNAs Pro 6 running RAIDiator 4.2.28. It's access by a Mac, Unbutu, PCs running XP, Windows 7 and Now Windows 10 respectively. I'm having intermitant file and folder access issues. Specifically, an in ability to move, copy or create new folders within sub-directorys 2+ levels down from the home share. What is strange it is only certain folders, and yet they all have the same persmissions. Read/Write Access, Everyone. The error I get is 'Access Denied you do not have the permissions to complete this action" SO, not only does this happend only on random subfolders, but it also does not happen consistently from machine to machine. Some days the problem is solved by me using a Windows 7 machine rather than a Windows 10 and vice versa. Both machines have mapped drives to the ReadyNAS. Yet, if I access via the network 'C' folder no issues what so ever. Curious. I have reset the permissions, deleted and remapped the drives, added specific host access, opened guest access. I've run out of ideas. I'm not especially technical so please be gentle.:) Thank you all in advance. Cheers PS wanted to send a screen shot but as luck would have it it started working a few mins ago!!3.2KViews0likes5CommentsAccess Denied on some folders on Mac via AFP
We have a ReadyNAS 312 set up at our company. It has 5 shares set up (not including /backup and personal shares). User access is divided into groups. We are having an issue with one of our shares that all groups have access to, called /Resources. I am the admin and the sole user in a group called "Full Access". My assistant is in a group called "Operations_HR". When either of us mount the /Resources share, we have the little red "Access Denied" icons on some (but not all) folders. Other users, within other groups, have no problem accessing all folders within /Resources. Below are some screenshots showing 1) Finder with Access Denied indicators 2) Network Access on this share, showing "FullAccess" as a read/write group 3) File Access on this share, showing 'FullAccess" as a read/write group 4) Just to confirm, my user account, showing me as in the "FullAccess" group. I've logged in multiple times on multiple computers to verify there wasn't some permission caching issue going on as i tried various fixes. My guess is that this may be related to who created certain folders and how, but i'm not sure why that would affect some groups and not others, if we both have matching "read/write" access. Any thoughts? My firmware is current, v6.4 Thanks in advance, devinSolved6.1KViews0likes6Comments
