nighthawk router with existing ruckus zonedirector
hello, i have been asked to arrange parental controls for a very large home. previously they had a pfsense box connected to a ruckus zd1200 which controls the 8 access points and created two vlans....one of which was controlled (kids and guests) and one that wasnt (parents). the house is approx 10,000 sq ft and across 4 floors (basement/attic). i dont want to put a pfsense box in as i want the users to manage the parental controls..;..however, they will not remove the access points. my questions are: - can i connect the ruckus zd1200 to a nighthawk router and still be able to use the genie app to manage the device security? - if i configure the ruckus to publish one SSID and configure the nighthawk to publish another....can i run parental controls on one of the SSID or will it be per device across all of them? alternatively....would a nighthawk conver the whole house without dropouts? sorry for the vagueness but this is not my area of expertise. if there is someone who could help please let me know. regards, samuelSolved5.7KViews0likes3Comments
