Hi Community Ive used my Orbi for many years with excellent results, but recently I tried to access the router via the mobile app and even though my phone is connected to my Orbi router, the App keeps saying it cannot connect 😞 The App prompts me to connect to my Orbi net work, but I am on my Orbi network! Ive uninstalled the app, restarted my phone, re-installed the app, re-setup the app and still no connection. The last time I managed to connect, I changed the settings because the Orbi satellite was clashing with my internet router. Since I changed the setting the routers have worked well together but I cannot access the Orbi management. However, the speeds I am getting from my Orbi have slowed down and I want to improve that. I believe I need to do a firmware update too. I managed to speak to Juliana from Netgear via the live chat on 22 July. She told me that a technician would "call me in 5 - 15 minutes" after about an hour I chatted to her again and she then wrote "Please wait for just 3 hours and you will get a callback." To this date I have not received a call 😞 I clearly explained I was based in Europe and gave me phone number and none of that was a problem to receive a call apparently. But then no call was received which is a disappointing customer experience. Please help me, I am more than happy to pay for the support Thanks MichaelApp Issue - Using 2 RBR50 routers (one as an Access Point)
I purchased 2 of these routers with 1 satellite for each. Upstairs: - I set my Telus modem to bridge mode. - I set one of my Netgear routers and connected it to my Modem (Port 1). - I set up a satellite and have it connected to this router. Downstairs: - The second router I purchased I set up as an Access Point by logging into OrbiLogin.com and using the setting there. Used dynamic DNS as recommended. - Ran a cable from the upstairs router and plugged it into the router I set up as an Access Point. - The second satellite I set up downstairs and it seems it is connected to the Access Point router. Both the Access Point and Main router have the same Wifi login (username and password) so it seamlessly switches between them. My issue is that when logging into the Orbi App and the Circle App I get which ever router I am connected to at that moment. So I don’t get all my household devices on either App, only what is connected to whichever router at the time. I thought you could not use the Orbi app with a router in Access Point mode, did I miss somthing when setting up the access point (I followed the directions in the help section on this website, just logged in and selected the setting.) Any help would be great! Thanks!Orbi mesh system no longer connects
I've been so frustrated. Please help. I bought the Orbi mesh system ( RBR10) last August of 2020. It worked and connected great then i started to have connection issues after about 3-4 months and now the app doesn't locate my router anymore, no matter what I do. It keeps asking me to log in to the wifi but I cannot connect to the orbi wifi either because it doesn't show up in the list. I've plugged, unplugged, hit the reset button..nothing. It's like it's gone with that orange light that stays lit. I had reached out several times to customer service and requested a replacement but would not get a reply just an email telling me to call within 24 hrs. During the final reach out in late December, my hardware is still under warranty but I was told sorry your 90-day complimentary service has ended and I'll have to pay at least $89 just to speak with someone to get help with my hardware that's still under warranty 😒..such a rip-off. Against my better judgement I bought this. I now regret it. Does anyone have any idea how I can I get this back to working please, please, please?!?? I received an update software email but I cannot because I can't get the app to locate it or find the orbi wifi network. Otherwise I've wasted $149 and it's just collecting dust. Thank you.Orbi rbr50 - issues connecting
Hi community, Since the past month i have had too many issues in the Orbi-app regarding connection to the Orbi-wifi. I have the latest update on iOS(14.2.1) and latest update on Orbi(2.7.0.28). Whenever i log into the app, it never finds my Orbi network, even though im connected to it. - In the Netgear orbi-app, it says «issues connecting to Orbi73». *Orbi73 is wifi name* - I have tried to Reset the Orbi system - I have uninstalled/re-innstalled the app many times. - Tried to set up the wifi again, but it always ends up telling me to connect to the Orbi-wifi, which i am, Orbi73. Does anyone have any tips regarding this? Stay safe!:)Orbi RBR50
I have an Orbi router and use the Orbi app. When I first installed the router, the app included the security tab. Due to some problems that developed, I had to reset the routers and reinstall. Since then, the Orbi app does not have the security tab, even though I have purchased the year long Bitdefender subscription. I have tried resetting again, reinstalling the router, deleting the app and reinstalling. Nothing will restore all the app options. This prevents me from utilizing the Bitdefender subscription. Does anyone know how to fix this? Why is it so hard to use basic functions, even after I pay extra for them? Thank you to anyone who knows a fix!RBR50 connected to wifi but blocking fire stick and some apps
Hi. I hope someone can help. Im not massively technical, so I hope it’s a simple issue to fix. Ive has my orbi RBR50 for about a year and it’s been pretty good, until recently. Using my iPad, I can still use safari to browse the internet and use outlook, but it won’t let me update apps in the App Store, and some game apps won’t connect. The orbi app itself won’t let me update the firmware. It has been updated within the last year, but I can’t even check if it’s still up to date now. With the exception of the orbi app, I can do all the others if I use a different network, showing it is the orbi at fault. I have a similar problem when I try to use my fire stick. It logs onto the orbi network but says that it’s not connected to the internet when it is. Also my little boys tablet will no longer acces the internet when connected. It seems to me like there is some kind of firewall that’s been activated, blocking certain sites /devices, but I can’t see where to change the settings. Speed tests seem fine. thanks in advanceKnow Where Your Family Spends Time Online with Usage on Circle

I received an email from Netgear that I need to d an upgrade. The email says it's real easy and it also includes a video. Real nice. Except, that the software needs to sign in as an admin and once it goes to a browser it doesn't work, WHY? Because in the notes it indicates that it is not compatible with Safari and there is no possible way to change the default browser in an iPhone. (who was sleep when they came up with this idea?). OK, after so much time spending on the net trying to find a solution (Because Netgear doesn't care about providing any to their customers) I was pointed to login to the router.net site, but the isuue here is that during the first instalation of the ORBI everything was done via an App in the iPhone and it never asked or suggested to setup a router.net account. So this process also seems easy. Go to the site, hit cancel and put the device serial number, Fine. It then requests answers to security questions that I have never setup!!! and there is no way around this issue that Netgear designers have created. There are no phone numbers to call, nobody to chat. But Yes they are available if you want to dish out $100. This is a real nice trick. Creat a problem people can't solve and make them pay the company to resolve the issue. So long story short, my App is not working, the update is not done (I don't think I even want to update with the horror stories I read about othe Netgear updates). But if anybody can figure this thing out, I would appreciate the help. Thanks
