Hello, I have been trying all morning to try and find support for my N 300 wireless router WNR2200. I’ve tried two of the apps (Nighthawks and Netgear Mobile), but this model is no longer supported on either. Which app can I use now to check settings, speed, etc.? Or is there another way to get support for this product? I bought this back in 2013. Also, I’m updating my service to a faster data speed. Must I update to a new router too? Hi all, I have the R6120 router yet, I don’t have all the app features. I can’t rename devices anymore, the dashboard screen only shows a pic of the router, device manager (only option to toggle on or off), Wifi settings, Guest wifi and support. The app and firmware is up to date. Why don’t I have parental controls, speed test, proper device manager etc?AC1750 R4600v2 Night hawk app connectivity issues
Need help, My router will show up “sometimes” (by sometimes I DO NOT mean that I can access it) in my Nighthawk App but other times when I go to login, while on my network that is currently pulling services, it gives me a timeout error. It will not access the router. I have turned off wifi on my iPhone 12 Pro Max and tried the anywhere access workaround to no avail, it gives me a “device is offline” error. I have zero trouble using an Ethernet cable or my phone on the wifi to login to the web interface but I believe there are features not yet utilized on the device provided by the app. If I’m wrong let me know. If anyone is dealing with similar issues let me know. If anyone knows what it is let me know. I have tried disabling private addressing on my networks for my phone. I have re registered the product under the correct netgear account. I cannot for the life of me get why my router and app are not able to communicate. ROUTER: FW - V1.0.4.122_10.0.95 Nomen - AC1750 R4600v2 Serial - 4PU47A7BA49F9 APP: FW - 2.18.1.6 PHONE: FW - iOS 15.5 Model - 12 Pro Max this router is older and has been through some times. I’m just hoping that it’s not a Firmware compatibility issue. I set up the nighthawk app in December and everything was working fine until a few days ago. I was continuously logged into the nighthawk app until I wasn’t. I tried to log back in, it said I didn’t have an account. So after not being able to find out how to get help- I made a new account with the same credentials. Now it’s saying my router is registered to my email address but it’s not recognizing me? And it is asking me to verify my Netgear account but Netgear won’t verify my account. I click the link in the email and it takes me to an error page. I try and register my router, it gives me another error.SolvedChange the Armor account that is registered on my MR60
While attempting to install the Netgear apps on his phone and fix something, my husband managed to register HIS armor account (a free trial) on our MR60 and remove MY account (paid subscription). Now in my Netgear app when I tap Security, it says "This router is registered to <husbands email>. Please log into that account." My situation seems odd... I use Spectrum and a Motorola modem (not a Spectrum router, just the modem). I have been running my network using Google Wifi and I wanted to connect something which used Wifi 6 for some of my newer devices, so I got the Nighthawk RAX45 (Costco)... At first I just tried connecting the RAX45 off the ethernet port on the Google Wifi. And all seemed fine. I can connect to the Internet and do whatever I need to do. I can turn my VPN on and off and have no issues with my internet connection. But I wanted to have my Nighthawk as the FIRST router in this chain and piggyback the Google Wifi off one of its ethernet ports. I was thinking this might give my WIFI 6 devices the best connection and overall performance (since that's my goal) That's when I ran into problems. The Google Wifi router STILL WORKS FINE connected off the RAX45 ethernet port. But the RAX45 connected directly to my modem (Spectrum), won't work. At least my PC doesn't see the internet. BUT (and this is what seems strange to me...) I found that if I started NordVPN on my PC I could connect to the internet. I don't have to do this to connect through the Google Wifi, so it doesn't seem to be a NordVPN problem (since that SHOULD be the same since I am using the same PC and the same software) I also found the same to be true on a Samsung S9+ android phone. No internet until I started NordVPN. I asked my son who has NEVER installed NordVPN on his phone to try to access the internet by connecting to the Wifi and it DOES NOT WORK EITHER. So, I think I've eliminated any problems with the NordVPN software setting up a kill switch or anything that I cannot turn off from earlier installations. It's just odd to me that I cannot access the internet while connected to my RAX45 unless I turn on NordVPN. And this problem only occurs if the RAX45 is the FIRST router directly connected to the Spectrum modem. If I switch order and put the Google Wifi router first, I can connect to the Internet WITHOUT running NordVPN on my PC. Just downright odd. Hello, I have Netgears C6250 modem router that has been having issues since Friday. Maintenance came that day and replaced my dishwasher and shut the power off in the process so I'm not sure if that the cause of the issue, but I'm no longer able to connect to the internet via my playstation 5, xbox s, firestick, chromecast or by cellphone. I have limited wifi connection on my gaming pc meaning I can connect to the internet, but I cannot connect to apps on it. It'll say "no internet connection". On my playstation I get a "Nat Type: Failed". I spoke with a Netgear technician who told me they would run a cmd on it to fix any issue, but when I heard the price I politely declined and asked if I could call back lol :smileysad: . So after watching and trying youtube tutorials I still have no resolution. This is my last hope lol. Can someone please help me?Nighthawk Android App Version 2.9.6.1513 -- Missing Features???
The smartphone I downloaded the Netgear Nighthawk app to is running Android OS 11. The Nighthawk app version is 2.9.6.1513 (Updated on May 3, 2021). In the Google Play store, the app has screenshots of the app. The first screenshot shows one similar to, but not matching what I see on my downloaded app. On the Home Page of the App, below the picture of my router, the R6080, I see 4 areas, labeled: "Device Manager" "WiFi Settings" "Guest WiFi" "WiFi Analytics" The first screenshot for the Nighthawk App on Google Play has a picture of a router, with 4 areas shown: "Device Manager" "Network Map" "Parental Controls" "Internet Speed" Another Nighthawk screen shot on the Google Play page shows an option to run a Speed test, but, my Nighthawk App doesn't show that screen. In the Google Play "What's New" Section for the Nighthawk App, under "About This App," it states: "The Nighthawk app gives you convenient access to your router's features." Then it lists several features that include: Speed Test Traffic Meter So, should I guess that reason I do not Have the Speed Test in my app, is that that is not one my router's features?? There is a Netgear YouTube video from 2018 that introduces the Nighthawk App. I'd like to see an updated Nighthawk App overview on YouTube that covers the new featrues... Bty, the first time I uploaded the Nighthawk App a few days ago, the Signal Strength Meter, Home Testing, and the Network Status did not work. But they all do now work, after I Uninstalled the App, restarted my phone, and reinstalled the Nighthawk App. Somewhere in all this it said I would get the complimentary "Netgear Armor" for a time, but, I don't see that on my phone now...Solved
