I'd like to use Google Drive to backup / sync my RN10400. I do not want to synch my entire NAS content to every machine I'm logged into with Drive, though. For example: c:\GoogleDrive\MyWorkingFiles = synch to gDrive \\NAS\Archive = synch to gDrive but DO NOT synch to my local machine. Does this make sense? Or should I get a separate Google account, just for synching the NAS?32Views0likes1CommentMigrate drives from ReadyNAS NVX to ReadyNAS 212
I've searched in this forum but I could not find a answer to my problem. The power supply to my old ReadyNAS NVX (4 bays) died, so I bought a new ReadyNAS 212 (2 Bays). I am left with the 2 drives from my NVX, which were mirrored (Raid1) that I need to migrate to the RN212. I found useful information on how to migrate at this link: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/29957?cid=wmt_netgear_organic Unfortunately when I insert the drive from my legacy ReadyNAS NVX into the RN212, the RN212 does not become available on the network and I can't access it. Can anyone here help? Thanks.3.4KViews0likes5CommentsFailed drive replaced in Pro Business, can't tell what's up.
I've had my Pro Business for years now. I've moved from 6x500G to 6x1T to 6x2T over the years, and have always used Seagate Constellation ES.2 drives. I have a drive failure about once every 18 months or so. Each time it happens I recall not seeing enough info from the NAS to tell where the NAS is in the rebuild process, so I'm used to waiting days for the alarms to clear, but I had a recent failure and am getting nervous. Drive had been getting progressively worse with increasing SMART errors. I always keep a spare handy. I am running XRAID-2. Drive finally failed, so I replaced it. The log shows the following messages after the failure and then after the replacement with the new drive: I have waited over 10 days to see the alarms clear and the drive to go "normal" but no joy. Drive is still showing "dead" in the volume and health displays, and front panel shows "Vol C degraded". I don't want to reboot if it's busy, causing it to have to start over. How long should this take, and how can I see updates on the rebuild status? Thanks, H.Solved6.4KViews0likes9Comments
