Admin login/password is denied when accessing a hard drive connected to the modem via USB that was read/write protected in routerlogin.net. If the drive is not protected, no problem accessing via readyshare from local network, and even from Internet! But the admin login/password don't work if the drive is proteted. I exhausted all options. Followed manual, restarted, changed password, researched the topic online. Seems to be a bug. Modem is C3000. LaCie 8 TB USB HDD. Does anyone know a solution? Thanks.34KViews0likes55CommentsUSB Backup ReadyNAS 102

I am trying out the Nighthawk router and I am comparing its features to Linksys and Asus routers. The router has the latest firmware version. I have a few questions about using the Nighthawk router. I am, more less, confused about some of the features such as time scheduling and blocking sites. Also, I don't understand the purpose of OpenDNS if I can block most sites on the router itself. I am sure that OpenDNS does a better job at blocking sites and categories. 1. How do I block a site such as Facebook on individual device? I don't want to block it from other family members. I have tried both OpenDNS and blocking the site on the router itself from preventing both an iPod and Macbook from accessing Facebook. Both the iPod and laptop let Facebook come up. I have tried to block Youtube on the router and OpenDNS with the same result. I can, still, access the site on my iPod and laptop. 2. How do I set a time schedule on individual devices? I don't want to turn off or disable the wireless to go off at a specific time, I just want to block a device from accessing the internet at specific times like 8pm to 9am. 3. Do I use the Netgear Genie to access the router from outside my home? I like using my work computer to login to my home router to change settings and so on. I like the Nighthawk router but I need to work through some of these issues such as time scheduling and being able to block sites to individual devices. Perhaps, someone can offer some suggestion on what I am doing wrong and explain some things.61KViews1like29CommentsGenie Timeline Unspecified Error
Getting an "Unspecified error" from Genie Timeline resident App that keeps repeating every second with annoying sound. Acknowledging the error pop-up window does not clear message because it keeps repeating. I believe the error was initiated when I interrupted (paused) a ReadySHARE backup that was unintentionally started. Subsequently, I restarted and completed the backup, but the repeating error message continued throughout and thereafter. The only way I was able to stop the message and beeping was to use Task Manager to terminate the process GenieTimelineService.exe. Obviously this drastic action defeats the scheduled backups by the ReadySHARE application. How can I permanently clear the error message? Also please fix the bug that initially triggered the error and please eliminate the unnecessary annoying beeping from the logic.15KViews0likes32CommentsAfter recent Windows 10 update, I can't log in to Genie app
I recently got a new build of Windows 10 and Genie app no longer worked. Prompt said it was incompatable. I uninstalled the app with a utility that removed all evidence of the prior version (Revo Uninstall) and downloaded v2.4.44. Everything came up fine but I tried to get to my guest settings on my R6210, my log in failed (wrong password) using admin and "password". I removed the app again, did a factory reset router (disabled modem, held router reset button for more than 10 seconds, and updated Router firmware) which I felt would give me the ultimate start from scratch point. Again, when I got to my guest settings the login failed again (wrong password). Is there a way to reset the passwrd in the genie app? I tried using all of my other Netgear 'MyNETGEAR' account credentials and my router access access and Password information and I just simply get into the router settings without using the 198.162.1.1 address through my browser. I really appreciated the ease of using the Genie app to make changes as needed. I'm very good at electronics, but not so good at the software end of things and this is driving me nuts. Can anybody help?4.3KViews0likes7CommentsCan not login using NETGEAR Mobile (iOS) application to router

Will doing a factory reset on the router clear this?Solved11KViews0likes2CommentsAC1750 - Genie Parental Control Fails Checking Firmware, OpenDDS working. Wifi Not, Cannot Disable
Hi, Scan topics and have not found solution. AC1750 and Genie Issue, Win10 Pro, Enabled Parental Controls, created OpenDNS and appears all appeared well execept WIFI devices not accessing internet. WIFI devices have connection reported by AC1750 console and Genie. Genie version is 2.4.54, AC1750 is V1.0.1.38_1.0.25 So Trying to reset, undo, DNS via AC1750 Web console. Won't allow modifications without disabling Parental Controls. VIA Genie, appears all menu selections working EXPECT depressing Parental Controls results in failed Checking Router Firwmare, check internet connection.... Thus cannot get past this to disable Parental Controls to reset dns settings to get back to orignal configureation before I let the "genie out of the bottle" Cannot change AC1750 DNS settings to undo OpenDNS settings. Don't want to reset AC1750 due to rules, vpn, vlan settings. So 0) Symantec Endpoint firewall disabled. 1) Ethernet Connections working fine with OpenDNS filtering. 2) Genie will not get past detecting router via Parantel Controls. 3) Wifi Not connecting to internet or to AC1750 web console. WiFi Adapter DNS = 208.67.222.222 , 208.67.220.220 4) Web connection to AC1750 shows all PC and Wireless connections active 5) Netgear Genie Shows Network Connections, Wifi connections, router firmware vesion. 6) Genie > Router Settings > returns V1.0.1.36 as expected. I just updated Netgear Genie to 2.4.32 on my MAC and I can no longer login to my OpenDNS Bypass account. I tried deleting and recreating the bypass account through Netgear.Opendns website. After searching through the web, it seems like lot of people have or had this issue but I haven't seen any official solution from Netgear on why this issue keeps reoccuring. I have Netgear R8000P (Nighthhawk X6S) Router. If this is an issue with 2.4.32, how do I revert back to previous version.1.4KViews0likes1Comment[Note working] Remote Access on Genie App to C7100V
