hacked
1 TopicNetgear WP2000RPTv2 I think was hacked or hijacked.
Trying to access the EXT and it came up with 401 Unauthorized Your client does not have permission to get URL /cgi-bin/check_hijack.html from this server. I reset it and went back and tried to use the WPS to reconnect to the DSL router. If would not. Then I did a manual setup. Seems to work. Reading the manual, it says change the default admin/password to something else. Did this not change with the manual setup to match my DSL? If not, I have not found any way to access this to change the default. The internet has all Netgear router/extender default access codes so anyone can hack into Netgear items and tells you how to do so. How can I protect this unit? My Netgear ADSL2+ from ATT I have changed the default but do not find a way in the EXT unit.7.8KViews0likes1Comment
