I purchased this router (R6400v2) back in 2021 when I had Spectrum's 500mbps plan, it worked great the entire time. Fast forward to April of this year, I moved into a new house and decided to upgrade to the 1gig plan. I was told that my router is not compatible with this plan offered by Spectrum, but I'm not sure how much I trust that this fairly new router capable of gig speeds isn't compatible. Am I just coping and in denial and this router will actually never work, or does anyone know any secrets on how I could make it work? I'm tired of the standard router issued by Spectrum. Next to no customization and it has a weak signal that doesn't reach my entire house. I figured I'd rather ask on here before going and shilling more money for a "supported device." ThanksSolvedMy phone can’t connect to the R6020-router
Hi! I bought my router back in 2019 and used it for about two months and haven’t used it since. Now I wanna use in my new apartment but can’t get it to connect to my phone despite all the symbols being green. I’ve restarted the router several times and I still can’t get it to connect to my phone. I have an iPhone xs and I’ve tried to enable local network access but the app can’t be seen in the WiFi-privacy settings, so I can’t manually enable it. It’s been driving me crazy and I don’t know what else to do, can someone please help me??Can't login to router to configure anything - most importantly readyshare
I don't know that I've ever been this angry with a consumer product. I used to be able to log in using 192.168.1.1 and then look at detailed info and make config changes Any attempt to do so now has me in an endless loop of having to enter the serial number and then fill in a new password and security questions. And then it just starts all over again. How does NetGear take the simplest of expected features and make it so exceedingly frustrating and broken? It is a requirement to log in to the router from time to time. I have reset the router, tried changing passwords etc. The router "works", but I'm having issues with Readyshare and the only way I know to address it is to login. Which used to work reliably. I know this is a known problem so where is Netgear support with the answers? I've seen references to clearing cache and trying alternate browsers so again, this is a known issue. I'm not sure i'm getting cache totally cleared, but downloading a brand new browser accomplished nothing I would like DETAILED instructions on how to fix this. And to fix it once and for all.Orbi RBK852 Wired backhaul setup using switch
I’m trying to connect the 1 router and 1 satellite (RBK852) to a switch in order to setup the wireless backhaul setup as shown in the attached image (1 network cable from each device to a switch). The satellite unit seems to accomplish this okay however the router doesn’t behave in the same way. It just glows purple and does not provide internet access. It is not possible to see the Orbi system on the app when setup in this way. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help!Router Model R6120/ Ethernet Cable
Hi. I have an AC1200 WiFi Router Model R6120, which someone else set up for me some time ago. I've never understood PC technology, but recently I've decided to learn the ins and outs of WiFi. I noticed that when the person set up my tower PC to the router, he kept the yellow Ethernet cable connected from the PC to the router. Since I just want WiFi, no wired connection, can I remove this yellow Ethernet cable (there is the blue Ethernet cable from the modem to the router which I know I need to keep in) or do I need to keep it connected? Thanks!SolvedSet up AC1750 Smart WiFi Router as print server
I know it's overkill. But I just installed an ASUS Mesh WiFi system and now have an extra AC1750 Smart WiFi Router (6400). I would like to set it up to work on the mesh network as a print server, since it has a USB socket. Should work, right? Does anyone know how to do this correctly? I am a long-time Mac user, but a network newbie with the barest amount of knowledge, so any specific recommendations would be very helpful. Thank you! Hey there, I purchased a refurbished R6080 a couple months ago from Amazon, but it seems to still be password protected by the previous user. My free technical support has expired, and I'm not sure how I can get access to configure settings without logging in. Obviously I don't know the answers to the security questions, and am unable to register the product to my Netgear account because it is still tied to the previous owner. I've already tried resetting it, but that didn't seem to remove any of the previous owner's security. Any suggestions?
