Orbi RBR 50 New firmware v2.0.0.74: Can you enable MU-MIMO, fast roaming and Beamforming now??
Wondering if under the newest firmware v2.0.0.74, you can now enable Beamforming, MU-MIMO and fast roaming? Under the older firmware version, Netgear suggested unclicking those boxes to get the system to communicate with itself better. Trying to tweek more speed out of the wifi. Appreciate any input. Also, read somewhere, that with the newest firmware version, the orbi satellites can now communicate with each other to pass along connectivity to form a true "mesh" system? True, or does each satellite still only communicate with just the router?

Orbi MU-MIMO Support
Hello. Is the MU-MIMO feature in the Orbi wireless system limited to the dedicated band between Router and Satellite only... or will the MU-MIMO feature also extend to devices that support MU... in addition to the isolated band dedicated to the router/satellite? In other words, with devices that have the ability to decode a MU-MIMO signal, will the Orbi also benefit these devices (i.e. - with MU-MIMO) while simultaneously dedicating a band to the Satellite, or do the remaining two bands, which support all other devices (minus the Satellite), revert to a SU-MIMO configuration?

X8 (R8500) MU-MIMO Enabled Yet?
I love this router, but the final standards were approved months ago and we still don't have MU-MIMO support, etc. It's listed on the product page for the router, but it doesn't support it. And before anyone says "do you have anything that supports MU-MIMO?" -- I don't care! You advertise it and prominently display it, so why don't you support it? I paid a LOT of money for what I thought was going to be the top-of-the-line router, only to find that some features are forthcoming in a future update. Come on Netgear...

R8500 MU MIMO supporti hav
I have a a R8500 nighthawk router. On the box, it says that mu mimo support will be released by 2015. As of August 2016, it still hasn't been supported by that router...But, I am not complaining. Here is a little background, sometimes I use a cheap (but usually good enough) internet connection with speeds of a little over 5 Mb download and 1Mb upload. I have two Xbox ones and a lot of digital games, both of which consistently need updates. I tend to use the xboxes on that connection about one night a week and I would always have to set aside time before I play to update the xboxes. When I bought the R8500, I was hoping that mu mimo would expedite the updating process. If my understanding of this feature is correct, I would be able to receive a file once and send them to my two devices. (Windows 10 has a feature where updates can be sent from one computer to another through a LAN, which is cool but irrelevant.) My questions are: one, will the mu mimo support on the Nighthawk R8500 speed up my system and game updates on my xbox ones (assuming the downloads are the same on each xbox) and two, when is the firmware with mu mimo support expected to be released by Netgear? Note to moderators or admins: I am pretty sure the lack of mu mimo firmware support issue on the R8500 has been brought up before. I just couldn't find it on this forum. So, if you want to move this post, you may do so by all means...
