These Extenders are C**P on second one and again followed instructions i.e plug in, press WPS button, press WPS on router (Netgear DGND3700) waited, entered router SSID and password (manually as it does not appear in SSID found list) No internet , No link led, I've done factory reset , tried again and again they don't work don't waste your time buying. Sending email to Netgear complaining of the rubbish their selling.14KViews0likes6CommentsWN1000RP Firmware upgrade issue
Hi All, I have just upgraded the firmware on my extender to V1.0.0.52 successfully, it states in the notes that 'Updated wireless mode from default 72Mbps to 150Mbps' however when I log back in to the Netgear website it shows the right (New) firmware but still says link rate is 72Mbps?? I have a BTHub5 which I think should give me the 150Mbps link rate or am I wrong?? Thanks in advance for any help.:) Paul11KViews0likes1CommentStatus Amber
I bought a WN10000RP yesterday. The problem is that the status LED blinks green for a moment and then turn amber (orange/yellow). Every minute or so it will blink green for a few milliseconds and switches to back amber again. There is no Wi-Fi signal from it either. I tried everything including a factory reset but at no avail. Is the unit faulty or am I doing something wrong? Please help.5.6KViews0likes1Commentlaptop kills my wifi connection WNR2000
Not sure where to post this, so if not the right place please direct me. I bought a Dell laptop within the last month off QVC and whenever I start/restart the computer the laptop connects to my Netgear N300 wireless router (model number WNR2000) and kills it to where the laptop can't connect and our phones and ipad get booted off the network. I think need to go and turn off the router and turn it back on and things stay connected. But if I shut down the computer and restart it, boom it kills everything again. The router is less than a year old and the laptop is less than a month. Any help would be appreciated.5.5KViews0likes1CommentDrivers needed to connect to my router
Hello, I've just finished a fresh install of Windows 8.1 on a new computer and it cannot recognize any network connections. Support at Windows and my ISP told me that I need to get drivers from netgear, who made my router, a WNR1000v2. The router does not have a serial number, and the netgear representative I spoke with told me it's probably refurbished. The representative couldn't tell me how to obtain these drivers, though, because I didn't want to pay for a support plan... can anyone help me with this?4.9KViews0likes2CommentsWN1000RP not "routing" ?!
Hi, I'm having a strange behaviour here with one of the WN1000RP repeaters. Network : . Full Static IP addresses, all in same subnet; . WiFi access point : Netgear WG602v4, . Not broadcasting the SSID ; . Access controll set on MAC address through the access point; . Only one router (IP level only). Setup : . I've done it "manual", set up an IP address in local & routed network; . DNS : OK; . The repeater is able to check for updates (and it says "there is no new udpate") ; . Firmware version : 1.0.0.52 (already camed wit it); . Added the MAC address of the repeater to the access point; . Added the "translated" addresses of connected devices to the access point (one per device); . Set a new password; . SSID broadcasting disabled (so WPS has been automatically disabled); Problems & observations : . All three leds are green; . It has never asked me for password while trying to connect (always direct access to the interface); . I can ping any device (including the router) into the local network, I also can ping external IP addresses from connected devices through the repeater. But cannot access any website ! It sounds like DNS is not allowed to pass trhough the repeater (!?) Questions : . Did I forgot to "enable" something to make password being asked before each connection to the repeater admin interface ? . How does the repeater work with DNS ? does it perform some kind of proxy service ? Thank you in advance for your help ! ZWN1000RP fails at last step of setup
I'm trying to get the WN1000RP set up with my Linksys WRT54G router. It completes all of the steps of the setup process except the last one where it gives me an error that it lost contact with the router and suggests moving the booster closer to the router. It's already in the same room as the router about 6 feet away in clear line of sight so I know that's not actually the problem. I'm using a Lenovo t450s laptop running Windows 8.1 to set it up. Any help or advice on what to try next would be greatly appreciated. - Mark7.5KViews0likes7Comments
