I recently changed internet providers and now my extender won't connect. I factory reset it and used the Nighthawk app to set it up. On my phone it says it's connected, but the extender itself doesn't show it's connecting. I also have an ethernet cable connected from the extender to my desktop. My desktop still isn't connecting to the internet, so I know the extender isn't working. I called support and after TWO hours, they were unsuccessful in helping me. I'm calling back again and I've now been on hold for an HOUR! This is ridiculous. Unhappy is an understatement. Please help.1.3KViews0likes3CommentsMR70 Loses Advanced Routing Settings
NightHawk #MR70 mesh system V1.0.3.34_2.0.58) is set up with advanced routing to some custom TCP/UDP ports. After a while (ranging from days to weeks), the advanced routing stops. When I go in to look at the settings, the list is blank. If I try to add the rules again, the system presents the message that the rule conflicts with existing service. However, when I try to search the rule it does not exist and the list remains blank. The only (temporary) solution I've found is to completely factory reset the system and re-create all the rules. Unfortunately after a few days the problem returns. I've tried backing up the settings and restoring from the backup, however the same problem persists upon restoration, even if the settings are backed up after a freshly reset system which should be error free.WiFi Extender Won’t Connect to Some Apps/Sites
My Network: AX3600 Insight Managed Router (Firmware version 10.2.0.16), AX1800 Mesh Extender (Firmware version 1.0.3.36) Issue: I recently got a new router and a range extender to help cover my whole house, but I’m running into a weird issue. When any device (phone, desktop PC, laptop, iPad) connects via the extender, it loses the ability to connect to some websites. For instance, I can connect to Facebook fine, but if I try to connect to Twitter, it fails to load. When I try to connect to those sites via the Wi-Fi from the router, everything loads perfectly. Attempted Fixes: Factory reset of both devices, firmware update, cycling both devices and the modem, cursing.5.2KViews0likes6CommentsEAX20 - AX1800 configured as access point only allows single wifi user
I have setup a EAX20 - AX1800 extender as an access point in my garden cabin with an ethernet connection back to the AC3200 router. Connected via ethernet to the access point are two sky stream pucks, which work with no problems, and a WDCloud network storage device serving up shared NFS mounts with no problem. I configured the 2.4ghz and 5ghz wifi bands to match the ssid and passwords of the main routers wifi, and my MacBook and iPhone can both connect to both wifi bands. However, when there are multiple devices connected only one has access to the internet. Either device works with internet access when connected singly but when both are connected only the first device connected has access. I've tried resetting extender and I've tried rebooting the main router, but the problem remains. I would appreciate any pointers on how to resolve. I’m trying to add an EAX80 to my router to allow the whole house to be covered. However, I can’t add the extender via the app and only via the WPS. When I use the app I can’t see the extender and also can’t see who is logged into it. When I tried to set up via the app i was joining the NETGEAR_EXT network, but then it was continually defaulting to the router network and then saying that the extender could not be located. The main purpose of getting a Nightgear was to restrict our internet obsessed children. However, as they are on the extender which I can’t see I am unable to set time limits etc. Please help!!1.4KViews0likes7CommentsEAX20 extender issues
I have a Nighthawk RAX80 router and a AX1800 Mesh Extender EAX20 extender, it is connected however i am noticing that it will randomly lose connection to either the 2.4 ghz or the 5 ghz signal from time to time. Rebooting doesn’t bring it back, i have to go through the whole setup process again on the extender to get it back to normal. There is a nearby active ethernet port that is connected to the router, would i be able to connect the extender to ethernet rather than wireless meshing and still keep it in extender mode with One WiFi activated? The Nighthawk app sees my SSID from the Nighthawk Ex7000 Ac1900 Wi-Fi Range Extender but will not connect. The range extender is working properly, devices are connected and operating but the Nighthawk app will not connect. When staying with family connectivity to the Nighthawk MS70 is fair due to distance. I was wondering if I could take one of my MS70 satellites and use it with their system or is each satellite paired with the MR70 router? Both systems were purchased at Costco and came with the router and 2 satellites. Or should I just look at an extender? Thank you.Solved1.2KViews0likes1Commentcreating offline mesh network, without internet , what model i should use? most needs internet

I use an XR700 router with a EX8000 extender. They were expensive and I hope that they would provide my household a few more years of service. I want to use TP-Link Smart Plugs (Kasa brand) because TP-Link offers great control API's. I need to get confirmations about on/off events and either retry or alert if there is a problem. This plug runs a pump, so it is important for my home automation to have certainty on plug events and status. In order to use these devices and API's, all I need is a fixed IP address for the plug. Easy, right? Huh! I have heard others folks here with similar requirements for knowing a device's IP address and they have been struggling for longer than I have with the history: Netgear, along with a few other companies, broke the 1:1 association between the physical interface and a MAC address in order to improve WiFi extender performance. They introduced the Virtual MAC addressing. The problem is that Netgear has not updated their router logic to accommodate this new 1:M schema and it has remained broken for years. As smart devices and control mechanisms proliferate, Netgear will need to fix only one thing to allow these smart objects flourish within their networks, a second MAC address for one IP address: I honestly believe that these services will only support dumb homes until this self-inflicted wound has healed. The logic required for this firmware update is not so expensive to produce. NETGEAR, please do it to keep your products and networks on-line and your customers happy! I notice in DumaOS, that a "client device" can be listed with multiple MAC addresses. So, there must be some logic that supports a 1:M schema at least by "device name" that might be formally defined an extended to the reservation table structure:2.1KViews0likes12Comments
