We have two WAC124s, both configured as access points and connected via ethernet to the router. These were straightforward to configure when we bought them and have worked well. However I recently tried to log into them and cannot access either of them. Trying to log in when they are connected to the internet takes you to the Netgear page - entering the login details results in some 'thinking' before the login page is just redisplayed. As an aside, why one has to connect to a server hundreds or thousands of miles away to access a device just a few feet away is beyond me. Disconnecting the devices from the internet and connecting directly, as described in the user manual, just results in a failure to connect. I do not believe that both devices suddenly developed the exact same problem so I'm baffled. I'd be most grateful for any suggestions. I am having the same issue, Firmware Version V1.0.4.21 The WAC-104 time configuration webpage only allows you to select a time zone and select daylight savings time. I can see the WAC-104 requesting DNS for time-a.netgear.com and time-b.netgear.com, assuming they are the hard coded NTP servers. I also confirmed ntp connectivity from my PC using "w32tm /stripchart /computer:time-a.netgear.com /dataonly /samples:5".No Router Login
I have an old AC2000 Dual Band Wireless Access Point, WiFi Router (WAC124) which is working fine. although I am just using it as an access point. I was able to log into it a while ago but have had to change my MyNetgear account details as I no longer had access to the registered e-mail address. Netgear support moved the router over to the new account. Unfortunately when I enter my details to log onto the router it goes through the login process but then just takes me back to the login page. I've tried this on a couple of PC's so I know its not a PC problem. Support is no longer available through Netgear.AP WAC124 doesn't work after upgrade!
Hello, I updated my WAC124 AP from WAC124-V1.0.4.4 to WAC124-V1.0.4.9 via webgui, but it stuck without completing the update. So I tried an older firmware version, WAC124-V1.0.4.6, downloaded from the official website. After updating, the AP stopped working. When I turn on the AP, the LED stays solid and no other LEDs light up. The reset button doesn't seem to work; after holding it down for more than 10 seconds, nothing changes (with the AP on). If I press the reset button with the AP off and then restart it, I see that the power and USB LEDs light up alternately and stay that way forever. What can I do to fix this? Thank you!
