I have no experience with range extenders but am considering buying a AX3000 Dual-band WiFi 6 Mesh Extender to solve the following problem: I've just moved into a 3 bedroom townhouse and have installed Telstra/NBN internet connection which provides 500+bps near it's downstairs location ( where my wife's office is located ) but much less and intermittent upstairs where my office is located. If I bought the extender and plugged it in to a mains socket in the upstairs hallway with clear view to the modem and my office will it work without any changes to any settings? Will my MAC, iPhone and printer see the 5G router name with out any changes?334Views0likes7CommentsNew - Nighthawk WiFi 7 Dual-Band Extender Available

Hi all. I'm looking for some help please. I currently have Zzoomm fibre and want to change to a netgear nighthawk wiffi 7 router. I also need 2 mesh extenders/boosters. I'm nit sure what would suite. I need better reception around my home. My house is about 175 years old. Obviously I don't want to spend a fortune on a system. If anybody can help or offer some advice on what products might suite I would appreciate the help please. I'm not very clued up on the technical jargon for this kind of stuff. Many thans in advance.385Views0likes4CommentsEX6110 - turn off the LEDs
Hiya Is there any way to turn off the staus leds on my EX6110 range extender? I've been through all the options and can't see anything for this, but I might have missed something. We've moved house, and the best place to site this extender would be in our bedroom, but I can't have the lights on all night. Cheers306Views0likes2CommentsName change issues
I bought the AC750 WiFi extender because I bought blink cameras and one of them was slightly too far away from the modem and router so the battery wont stop draining and my camera won’t work like it should. I was told by blink support that I need to make sure the name of the WiFi extender is exactly the same as the modem and router. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change the name because none of the websites on the nether website that they state you are supposed to use do not work. They will not load for me at all whether connected to the extender or the main WiFi. I need help because honestly I don’t even remember how I set this thing up because it was too confusing and I just did a bunch of random stuff till it connected itself. I am trying to connect to a smart lock in a building nearby, but the signal isnʻt strong enough to properly operate the locks. Just barely the bottom level of the wifi arcs. Is there an extender might reach 50ft? Or should I ask this in the RS300 chat?317Views0likes8CommentsLinking mismatch with two EX80 nighthawks
I have 2 nighthawks, one is Ethernet connected to the router and the other is linked to the connected AX6000 nighthawk via an Ethernet cable. Essentially they are daisy chained to each other. The first AX6000 is setup via the nighthawk app but the other one will not let me add it to the app. It appears as”NETGEAR_EXT” and when I do the setup, I connect to WiFi called the same, run through the setup, but get to a point where the setup “cannot connect to NETGEAR_EXT”. I’m sat right next to it, it shows power light is white, WiFi light is white, 2.4 GHz light is white and the Ethernet port 1 ( where it is connected to the other AX6000) is also white. What is wrong with this ? Why can’t I get it setup up correctly ?332Views0likes15CommentsEX6150v2 resetting to factory defaults
My EX6150v2 is resetting itself to factory defaults. I'm guessing after a powerful outage, but unsure. It's configured for access point and type ethernet running firmware 1.0.1.108. But when it arbitrary resets, it leaves my entire network exposed as it fails open. What is causing this, how to prevent it and if it has to reset, reset closed and prevent unauthorized access?128Views0likes2Comments
