My R7000 has stopped broadcasting the 5g network on all my 5g capable devices. 5g Light on router is lit solidly ( not blinking) but network is no where to be found to connect to. I noticed this within the last few days, but before that everything worked. Any suggestions on how to fix this?Solved346KViews1like6CommentsOrbi Satellite suddenly not connecting
I have a CBR750 with an RBS750. They have been working well for months. Today, they stopped working together. I updated the satellite to firmware V4.6.7.13 thinking that might help with a strange connectivity issue I was getting on my iPhone this morning. But, once I did, the satellite never reconnected to the router. I have restarted the satellite multiple times, tried to sync (which appears to succeed, even showing the steady blue LED), and can even log into the satellite on its IP address and it says everything is fine... ...but the link to the router doesn't exist and the router doesn't see it. What are my next steps? Thanks in advance...Solved7.8KViews1like10CommentsNetgear Armor - Clear Threats List
When going into the Netgear Armor security section of the mobile app and navigating to Threats, there is a way to Unblock the threat, but there is no way to clear the list of threats. This would be a great feature for numerous reasons; privacy being paramount.2.9KViews0likes1CommentUnreliable
I am pulling my hair out with this Mesh system. I've had a lot of Netgear equipment over the years and I got this Nighthawk system back in January and it's been a pain ever since. Need to reboot it constantly. Devices fall off WiFi and won't connect, I reboot it and then they connect again. I changed the 5G channel today because it was similar to my neighbors and had to reset and completely reconfigure both satellites. The "anywhere" access has never worked. I am running the latest firmware. The app is just clunky. My house is only 2500 sq ft on two floors and I have the router and two satellites placed equidistant from each other. Both say "good" on the backhaul status. I am not looking for some magical fix. Kinda just venting. Is the Orbi system better? Does it use the same app? About ready to give up on Netgear or maybe go back to a single high end router instead of the Mesh system. Thank you in advance for any help.Solved2.3KViews0likes5CommentsWhich NETGEAR Cable Modem is Best for High-Speed Streaming and Gaming?
Hey everyone, I'm looking to upgrade my current setup and would love some advice. I'm particularly interested in a NETGEAR cable modem that can handle high-speed internet for heavy streaming and gaming. Reliability and performance are key for me, but I'm also curious if there are any models with additional features like built-in Wi-Fi or future-proofing for faster internet plans. Any recommendations on which NETGEAR modem I should go for? Thanks in advance!1.4KViews0likes2CommentsRBR50 out of nowhere is losing connectivity 5-7 random times a day
So, I am relatively technical and out of nowhere by Orbi Mesh has lost its mind. Spent two weeks with Spectrum to make sure everything is perfect between the Node and my House and then with Spectrum Maintenance to make sure the Node and Upstream is fine. I share a node with my neighbor, and he has had zero issues....so it appears to be my Orbi out of the blue. No new devices added or removed and no changes. What firmware is loaded on the RBR and RBS? Does this happen with the RBS turned OFF? Mmmm...I have not been able to try that as my wife works on the Main Floor and her only access is Wireless and she can't get a single from the RBR from my second floor office....but on the weekend I can try this if nothing else. Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz. I recently got one of these off ebay. It didnt have any drives in it so I have put in a WD 4TB hdd. I booted it up and have got lights flashing. The power one is flashing and the top and bottom are flashing intermittently. I have tried to connect to it via the 192.168.0.xx to see what is happening but to no avail. I am scratching my head and debating just buying another nas drive that will actually workI just spent $400 on a new Netgear Nighthawk router
I just spent $400 on a new Netgear Nighthawk router only to find out it has the same problem as the old out of service RAX43 router. If it’s a Windows issue, I don’t think MS is too interested in fixing it. After all they would rather sell their cloud storage, One Drive. I would imagine that Netgear would have more of an interest in finding a fix as Readyshare only adds to the valve of the router. I am using One Drive more than I am using Readyshare, since my Readyshare access is undependable and random. But it isn’t just the Readyshare access that disconnects, it is also the access to the Router’s setting page. That may be why Netgear is now selling the idea of using an Android app instead of a PC.Solved541Views0likes54CommentsIPV6 no connection RBR 850
I called my ISP and they confirmed I have an ipv6 connection available from them on a fiberoptic connection to my Orbi RBR 850 which will not transmit ipv6 to my network and when I run an online ipv6 test it confirms not connected. RBR 850 firmware v7.2.7.15, I just read on the netgear site this firmware is a problem for ipv6 and to set back the firmware to a previous version. I have checked my router settings many times in the advance ipv6 settings, currently set to DHCP any thoughts from anyone who has experienced problems with ipv6 connection issues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Printer behind ORBI not found
Dear friends, I have a standard configuration, with a WiFi modem from my Telco provider in the basement, and an (RBR50) ORBI access point (set-up as Router) in my kitchen. Both have a different SSID. All works well, but my Epson app can't find my printer, even if I give it its IP address. I read somewhere that the app sends an "mDNS/Bonjour" message to the printer(s) on the home-network, but that the ORBI might block this message ? How can I fix this ? Thanks for your help & advise !
