Has anyone figured out a solution to this issue? Please help. I want to be protected, and Netgear NEEDS to fix this issue in an update. If the trial ends, it should be simple. The link should take users to a page to purchase a new subscription. Very simple.162Views0likes2CommentsRS280 Armor Security
Trying to purchase Armor Security after receiving email of a discounted offer. I have tried to subscribe 4 times and each time it accepts my entered information but then, when "Place Your Order" is selected, the subscription page is updated with blanks where I just entered the information. I received no confirmation that the order was accepted. I fear that I will windo up with 4 subscriptions over a one-year period -- not what I want.149Views0likes1CommentUnable to add devices in Parental Controls
I have an Orbi RBR850 which is running the most current version of software. Within the Orbi app in devices i can see both the 'home' devices and the section i created for my child, lets call it 'kids'. When i try to move some devices over from 'home' to 'kids' it will not allow me to do so. I would like to get this done so i can block certain websites for all their devices without impacting myself or my wife. Has anyone else seen this issue? Also when blocking websites, i go into 'kids' and look at site manager. Is there a way to block things like youtube.com/shorts without blocking all of youtube?RAX10 still does not support Smart Parental Controls in 2026
I can confirm that the RAX10 still does not support Smart Parental Controls in 2026. I spent 1 hour trying to set it up, trying updating router firmware and using different mobile devices. If there is a solution, please detail it here. What your guides say is mostly irrelevant / not working. Thanks, SantiArmor cannot reflect to Orbi App
I have purchased the Armor plus service and assign to my Orbi. I can see my subscription in below page. https://my.netgear.com/contracts.aspx However my orbi iOS app cannot reflect the "security" tile and showing "Expired - Renew Armor Now" How to resolve it? iOS app version 2.51.0.37Solved185Views0likes4CommentsRS700 Netgear Armor confusion….
Very confused with Netgear Armor. What exactly is this thing? My confusion lies with how it’s described. Is it full protection for all devices at the router level, including virus/malware protection? Or do we also need to install the software, say on Windows 11 as well to get those features? I currently use Norton 360 Premium on my laptops along with Netgear Armor at the router level. My Norton is coming up for renewal, which is another reason why I’m asking about this. Thanks!189Views0likes5CommentsORBI App and Armor
My Armor subscription expires in Decemeber, 2026. However, The Orbi app does not recognize this. I have spent two weeks interacting with Netgear support trying to get the Orbi app to recognize this. I have taken my network down twice to 'factory reset ' my Orbi router at the request of Tech Support and downloaded fresh copies of the Orbi app for my phone to rectify this. I am in the same position. I have asked support to escalate the problem and I hear crickets. I am really disullusioned with their support of my issue and don't know where to turn at this point. Basically, I paid for a subscription for a product that I can't use. Has anyone had this issue with Armor? Is there a way to bring this problem to the attention of Tech Support management? Greetings, Two months ago, I installed the Nighthawk RS300 router, and declined the Netgear Security/Protection Engine service, although it has enabled itself without my consent. I am unable to disable this entirely. Now I have noticed that my HP printer is printing 5 pages of garbage at random times of day or night. This is not in response to any command or job I have sent to the printer. The printer gibberish has been identified as "ONVIF" commands and "rtsp://" requests. These are typically probes for an IP security camera or Internet of Things type devices with streaming video. However, the requests go to an unassigned tcp port, tcp/9999, and since the HP printer is listening there, triggers the gibberish printout (5 pages long) every time the network is scanned. It appears that Netgear Armor and/or "Protection Engine" is doing unauthorized and opaque scanning of my LAN and triggering these printouts. These printouts cost money, for paper, toner, wear and tear on the printer hardware. Go to any library, or print shop, and see how much they charge a customer for 5 pages to print out there. These network scans are not benign but they indicate malware on my network, and they need to be blocked and disabled at the source.427Views0likes2Comments
