Hello I have a C6300(AC1750) modem router and I've been experiencing frequent disconnects. They last for about a minute. Its very noticeable when streaming Netflix, a Skype video call or online gaming, though you can notice on web browsing because everything just stops loading for a period. I've tried wired and wireless(with my netgear usb adapter) but it makes no difference. We do have a Motorola surfboard connectted via Ethernet so we can have wifi in the garage where the signal is non existent. It is also a router/modem but I turned off dhcp. This happens on my phone, laptops desktops... if anyone could provide assistance I'd be grateful.12KViews0likes6CommentsC6300 DynDNS access problem
I can not login via iPhone app to a couple of local services (CCTV & Security) on my network via the C6300's wifi while using my dns address (example johndoe.dipmap.com). The services work fine when I am using the iPhone/iPad on 4G/LTE. The "apps" do work when addressed/routed with wifi using their actual address (192.168.0.6). My DNS address actually worked for the 1st day after installation until I started adding devices to the Reserved Lan IP address table. Any ideas? This C6300 is an upgrade from my CG3000D which has been performing properly for a couple of years. This upgrade is to increase wifi range and bandwidth.9.2KViews0likes1CommentC6300 Voice line question (EMTA will brick the C6300?)
I just added voice line to my comcast account because it was the only way to lower my bill. The technician told me that once the voice line was active, the C6300 cable modem would not longer work because the line would interrupt the internet reception, so I need a cable modem with EMTA capabilities. Is he correct? I have no plans to use the voice line. Can I just get some sort of EMTA splitter? I would prefer to keep my Netgear C6300. Frustrated if this is true, because I've been very satisfied with the C6300.9.6KViews0likes1Commenttrying to bridge C6300 to WNDR3400v2
Upstairs NETGEAR Gateway C6300 (new) 192.168.1.1 replaced [A0] WNDR3700v2 (I needed a DOCSYS 3.0 cable modem) Downstairs NETGEAR WNDR3400v2 192.168.1.100 is a cable modem and router. I want to be a wireless bridge/repeater for . For the life of me, after many hours of trying, I cannot get and to see each other. With my laptop I can separately log into either one. Before I replaced [A0] with , could be a bridge/repeater for [A0] just fine. I just can't seen to get that setup now that I've bought A. It would be VERY impractical to connect A and B with an ethernet cable. broadcasts an SSID on 5GHz with WPA2. DHCP is On. does NOT broadcast an SSID on 2.4GHz, is set to Ch9 with no encryption. has the radio on 5GHz turned OFF. DHCP is Off. does NOT broadcast an SSID on 2.4GHz, is set to Ch9 with no encryption. (apparently bridging requires no encryption and both units on the same channel) The intention is the two units should talk to each other privately on 2.4GHz. has set up "Enable Wireless Repeating Function", IPaddr 192.168.1.100, Base Station MAC Address set to 's MAC. has an entry in its registered hosts with 's IPaddr and MAC. I would think that and should at least see (ping) each other, but they can't, and I have no idea why. Netmask is 255.255.255.0 throughout. Thanks for any suggestions. I've been working on this for hours/days, and it's been extremely frustrating.12KViews0likes9Commentsc6300 - Connected but shows Internet as "In Progress"
I have a one-month old C6300 Cable modem/router - provisioned through Time Warner Cable. My connection seems to be fine, but in the C6300 software on the dashboard it says my internet connection is "In Progress" and its color is red. I have the most recent firmware that came from TWC: V1.02.19 When I click on the internet connection, the message on the next screen says "failure" "your modem is offline" even though it is connected. On the next "cable connection" screen, the channels for upstream and downstream all show as disconnected "not locked". Should I really be concerned, or just leave it alone if everything is actually (finally) working?19KViews0likes7CommentsDelay Before I Can Access Network With C6300
I have a C6300-100NAS WiFi Cable Modem Router. Each time I reboot my system there is a 5-10 minute delay before I can access the modem/router or my NAS which is connected to the router (NAS is connected through Ethernet cable not USB). Any ideas on what could cause this behavior? Model - C6300-100NAS* Firmware - V1.02.2110KViews0likes3CommentsRandom Re-boot
I have a AC1750 modem and C6300 router combo unit. All lights work, both 2.4 and 5GHz work, and all updates were done. I had several hiccups getting the modem router up and running. Once I finally did, it worked okay but every few days it would re-boot itself. I thought initially it may be heat related, although it is in a 75 degree air conditioned house, so I put a fan on it, but it didn't help. I lived with the inconvenience until recently it increased the frequency of the re-boots. It's offline now. If no one knows of a solution, I want an exchange.5.9KViews0likes6Comments
