gs748ts mac based port security
Trying to set up the switch (firmware version 5.2.0.11) as a basic managed switch and the only feature that needs to be enabled is mac based port security. I'd like to statically set the allowed mac address on a specific port. Any other device that connects to that particular switch port should either result in the port being shutdown, or just drop all traffic to / from that port. The user manual (page 6-17) says mac addressses can be statically configured, but I cannot find that option anywhere in the UI. Is this something that can be done with this model switch? What are the steps to achieve static mac assignment to designated port association? Any help would be appreciated.Solved9.8KViews0likes3Comments
Specify IP address range for bypass of blocked sites and parental controls
We run a number of Chrome OS devices in our house (and thus can't install the Netgear Genie app on these devices), but would like to bypass blocked keywords/sites/domans and parental controls on these devices (note: plural). Apparently, the router firmware currently only allows specification of only 1 IP address that can bypass the keyword/site/domain blocking. Does anyone else have any ideas of how to allow multiple Chrome OS devices to bypass? Is Netgear planning to implement more granularity for these settings based on IP address ranges anytime soon?
