RN104 backup getting error "operation not supported"
Hello I have an ancient RN104 holding four 4TB drives. It is 60% full and consists of seven sub-shares. I want to backup one of the sub-shares that contains about 1TB per Win11 Explorer I plugged a 2TB drive in the rear port I started a FULL backup of that sub-share Here is the top of the LOG file Why does the backup stop on the .AVI and .MP4 file types? Ready NAS 104 data dead
Hallo to everyone, I have since 3 years the readynas 104 with: 1st bay nas drive 3TB 2nd bay nas drive 3TB 3rd bay nas drive 4TB 4th bay nas drive 4TB. Before five days i got alarm, that data was degrated (broblem with drive at 2nd bay). I bought 2 nas drives 4TB. I changed the nas drive on 2nd bay with new one 4TB and the data cynchronization started. On the second day and at about 78% of data synchronization I got the alarm "data dead" with problem at hard disk on 1st bay. Now there is no access to my data. I changed the hard disk on the 1st bay and I get alarms "remove inactive volumes to use the disk" Please help Photos of a life time are not accesible. ThanksMy ReadyNAS NV+ is not showing in my maps.
I have a new computer (pc windows 10) and when I connect my My ReadyNAS NV+ it is not showing in my maps. I have connected it via a Netgeard router and it worked fine on my old computer, also pc windows 10. RAIDar has found it but I don't see it in my networks maps. How to do? Thanks in advance, Bee
Backup ReadyNas 214 to External Drive
I'd like to back up my ReadyNAS 214. The shares have both Windows and Mac files on them. I understand that things can go south quickly when formats mistmatch. So, if i buy a target back up drive, which format should i use? NTFS, MacOS, some other format? The idea is if I have catastrophic failure on the ReadyNas 214, I'd have a back up to the backup and I could restore from that. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.Cannot connect to RN314 after Windows 10 update to 1903
Hi, Ever since I updated my Windows 10 Enterprise to version 1903, I can no longer connect to my NAS RN310 (Firmware 6.10.1) using the Windows File Explorer. I can ping it, I can use the web interface, but not the File explorer. Any ideas why? ThanksCant Access NAS over local Wifi
HI, I have a NAS at my place of Hikvision, and i am able to access that on my mobile through 4g or different network outside my place. But its not accesible on local LAN or wifi. What are the possible issues? Its working on local 80 port but not on https which is normally used by the mobile application to connect.RN204 issues with 1 disk
Hi All, My RN204 has been workign perfectly for well over 5 years so I was long overdue a problem ha ha A little extra info:- Disk 1 - 2TB Disk 2 - 2TB Disk 3 - 3TB Disk 4 - 2TB All in X RAID (RAID 5) around 2.5TB free space left, 23GB of snapshots After I upgraded the firmware to 6.2.5 latest the other day (coincidence I think) I started to get a lot of AAT errors on Disk 3. I removed the disk and tried to put a 1TB in its place but it came up with the flashing data degraded and kept doing so and did not even try and add the new 1TB disk into the pool. I put the original 3TB disk back in, and it started to recover data (albeit very slowly) 5% in 24 hours. So my question is, once it has recoved all data, should I be able to just add a 2TB drive (looking at the free space above of 2.5TB) I should have around 500GB of spare space? Hi guys. Whenever my internet goes out I am unable to stream to my dune media player. The Dune can't find the network share. The files reside on my ReadyNAS so it should not require internet access. In the LAN setup page, I assign (in the router) static IPs to almost every device. I am using my router as DHCP server with starting IP at 192.168.1.100 and it ends at .254. I use the 1-99 to assign to specific devices. Any ideas what may be the problem?
