After installing OS6 ver. 6.9 on the RN202 I cannot complete a backup to my USB drive attached to either of the rear USB ports on the RN202. The system disconnects the USB drive before the backup begins. My backup status show the backup is in progress but it never finishes because the backup drive has been disconnected. If I reconnect the USB drive I receive a message that it was not properly disconnected and is now read only and I have to connect the drive to my computer and reset it to read/write mode. I have rebooted the server and the reset the backup drive on my computer. When I reconnect the USB drive to the RN202 it shows on the system devise overview as being connected. If I try to do another backup the disk and backup LEDS light on the RN202 and the USB drive for a short time and the USB drive disconnects again. If I mount the USB drive to my computer I can copy files back and forth between the USB drive and the RN202 without a problem. Any suggestions to fixing the problem is appreciated. I have a MacBook Pro running El Capitan connected to a BT wireless router. Hard wired to the router is a ReadyNas Duo drive. Until recently I was able to access files on the drive via my computer and if neccasary I could reconnect to the external drive via the RAIDar tool. However for some odd reason this has stopped working and RAIDar no longer sees the drive. I can go into the router and it lists the drive as being connected... As far as I know no updates have occured between being able to see the drive and losing it... I can see the drive is still on my local network as it is available via my smart TV... But as I say neither my computer or the RAIDar app can see the drive let alone connect to it. All in all this is very annoying, can anyone help/suggest a fix? Heard a weird noise from my RND2150-100NAS, so tried rebooting it by holding the power button down. Since the device wouldn't reboot that way, just unplugged power and tried to do hard reboot, which usually worked in the past but after multiple attempts I see that the power light blinking continuously. ACT, Disk 1 and Disk 2 lights blink just once for a second as soon as I turn on but they do not stay on. I run RAIDar v4.1.3 on my Mac, it does not see this divice. I installed two Seagate 1TB disks in this device and it was working fine until a week ago. Recently I used this as a destination to auto backup of important files from my PC and I am guessing that may have filled up the disks. Just worried about failed disks and loosing data (family pictures). other than the pictures I am not worried about the rest of the data. I have seen few posts that are somewhat similar but just want to make sure I do it right and do not wipe out data. Please help.2.1KViews0likes6CommentsThe seems to be dead, has worked for many years what can I do?
