Hello dear community, I used to have several users that I created as I recieved the NAS and was experimenting a year ago. It seems that I removed some user accounts, but I still can see them in passwd, home directory are still there. # getent passwd [...] admin:x:98:98::/home/admin:/bin/bash [...] titimoi:x:100:98:my_email_address@email.com:/home/titimoi:/bin/false another_user:x:103:98:another_email@email.com:/homeanother_user:/bin/false and # ls /home/ admin another_user titimoi Note that I can login to frontview with "another_user" and "titimoi" In Frontview I see only "admin" in Account > User. Questions : - can you help me show "titimoi" and "another_account" in frontview so that I can manage then easiely, what file should I have a look at ? Can anyone tell me if it is possible to give users access to the web interface? The only access that appears to work is IP-Address/admin (For the administrator account only), but I would like to give other users the ability to restart the device via the web server interface. They are not advanced users and would not be comfy doing things via the Terminal. If the answer is "NO," I'd like to know if there is any other way to restart the device that does not require the use of the terminal. I updated firmware for NAS 104 from v. 6.2.5 to 6.4 and now all my local users disappeared. I also can’t find sw user manual for v.6.4 (or is the same as 6.2 March edition)? Where can I store my settings before fw upgrade that l can import setting if problems appears? Any help will be appreciated. Br, Tomi Aurednik2.7KViews0likes3Comments
