C6300v2 WiFi On but not discovered by devices
My Netgear model C6300v2 cable modem worked fine on WiFi for approximately six months then suddenly devices could not see the broadcast WiFi NETGEAR68 WiFi channels. After verifing setup through the Netgear genie, researching serveral dicusssions here and elsewhere I used the reset button and all was well. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this issue or if it will repeat. But it was a relative simple fix.
Firmware: V1.03.06

Before applying the nuclear option, some basic investigation might
help. Buying a new car is one way to solve a flat-tire problem, too.> [...] devices could not see the broadcast WiFi NETGEAR68 WiFi channels

Thanks for the helpful links.

Not as painless as some other possibilities. For a less brutal
approach to the problem:
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read. Look for the LED and
button descriptions and "Troubleshoot". Pay particular attention to the
"WiFi On/Off button with LED". Is it lit? Did you press it? (Further
reading might be helpful, too.)
