Have a new c7000v2 router/modem (firmware V1.02.09) that runs very warm (almost hot) to the touch. Is that normal? Mainly the middle of the top of the unit - not so much the front or the back, or even the left or right sides of the top - just the middle of the peaked top of the unit. Seems running hot/overheating is a frequent concern, so I'm hoping it's not so much a problem. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks much!

The newer devices (especially combo devices) do run a bit warmer.
If its working fine, I wouldn't worry about it.
If its not stable and having drops, then I'd worry/exchange it.
If you want to, you can always stick a little laptop cooler on it.
Also, make sure its in a well ventilated area/spot.
