C7100v refuses to disable UPnP
I go to advanced settings to the upnp tab then uncheck the box that says turn upnp on and click apply. The router immediately shuts down then reboots and upnp is back online like nothing ever happened. At this point I might as well just use that as a reboot feature because it takes much less time than manually rebooting the router. This is incredibly frustrating and I have no idea what to do.
I'm trying to disable UPnP because I have my console in the DMZ server so I have no use for it and I theorize that upnp is actually making my experience considerably worse
Hardware version says 2.00
Firmware version: V2.01.45

Re: C7100v refuses to disable UPnP
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Cable Modem products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Cable modems and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Try a different browser.
Try a full factory reset and setup from scratch.
Make sure any access controls or security features that the modem maybe using are disabled.
Please use this link to the main forum product list to review and choose where to make your posts.

Thank you.
