C7800 - Misbehaving apps.
I have two older tablets (Samsung SM-T320 and SM-T700). My old router was a C7000, and everything worked perfectly. Now I have a C7800 router and these apps do not work:
Reuters News,
AP News,
CBS News,
NBC News,
Others...
Note that all need news feeds, and all have widgets. The widgets are not receiving updates and frequently cause the apps to crash. I have discovred that if I kill the app and restart it, both the app and the widget work properly for a time and then degrade back to where they were.
Do you have any suggestions? I've tried everything I can think of.

If I'm the only person with this experience, dosn't it sort of suggest that out of the thousands of this model Netgear produce, I got a lemon? That is another lemon? This one is a warranty replacement for the last lemon.

Re: C7800 - Misbehaving apps.
Disable IPv6 on the modem.
Try changing DNS to 1.1.1.1, 9.9.9.9 or 8.8.4.4,8.8.8.8
Check with the app provider or service provider. This maybe a app or ISP service issue than a modem issue.

Re: C7800 - Misbehaving apps.
Thanks. I've disabled IPV6 *and* IPV4. No joy.
I've tried all the new and popular DNS. At first I though it was going to do the trick, but 24 hours later (Is that a clue?) and I'm back to where I was.
Xfinity sent some kind of special code to the router. Still no joy. They're sending me a CG814 loaner to see if that resolves the issue. I'm kind of hoping it won't because then I'll be stuck with a $300-400 Netgear.

Re: C7800 - Misbehaving apps.
Thank-you kindly. I'll put on my tact and diplomacy hat and do just that.
