Change MAC address on CM1200
Not sure this is the right channel, since my CM1200 isn't a router or a WiFi device, but not finding a better location...
Anyway, is there a way to duplicate the MAC address of the modem that my MSP gave me? It's a tier 3 manufacturer and I have concerns about it... Plus it's a router/firewall/WAP/modem and all I really want is a modem. My employer provides its own firewall for home workers to use.
Thanks

Re: Change MAC address on CM1200
The CM modem is only a modem. The MAC address can not be changed. If the MAC address was changed then it would loose connect to the ISP since the ISP associates the modems MAC address with there services to be able to operate with the ISP.
A external router or firewall device can be connected to the CM modem.

Re: Change MAC address on CM1200
I presume so yes. All modems still have MAC addresses though. Something most ISPs use to associate with there network.
