Apologies for a simple question - I am about to buy a Nigthawk C7000 so that I can add parental controls to my Virgin Media Hub 3.0. Apparently I can configure the hub 3.0 as a DOCSIS3 modem. I need to limit connectivity time for my kids. (The virgin hub is not good for this according to newsgroups).
Can anyone spot a flaw in my plan or does this look like I’m buying the right NETGEAR router? Specifically, will the C7000 work as a DOCSIS3 router, and does it have good time-based parental controls? My research suggests that the answers to both these questions is yes, but I’d really appreciate some confirmation from those with more experience before buying.
