Nighthawk CAX80 VLAN Compatability
Hello all!
Thank you first of all for any help offered.
I want to connect the CAX80 WAN port directly to a VLAN port on a Cisco switch.
What I'm trying to do is connect a WAN port from a Modem to the CAX80 that is on a different floor through the switch.
Modem_WAN ==> Cisco Switch_VLAN_Port1 ==> CAX80_WAN
Thanks again!

Re: Nighthawk CAX80 VLAN Compatability
The CAX80 doesn't have a ethernet WAN port. The CAX80 requires the use of the RG6 cable coax signal connection for it to work.

Re: Nighthawk CAX80 VLAN Compatability
Just for that, a LAN port.
The CAX80 needs a coaxial input or it goes into a boot loop.
If you already have services coming in, you don't need a modem/router combo device. You just need a router.
