Nighthawk CM2050V modem compatibility with Nighthawk AC1900 R7000 router

Hello,

I want to upgrade my modem to the Nighthawk CM2050V. Currently have a Nighthawk AC1900 R7000 router with wifi extenders. Router system works great throughout my house. Will the new modem be compatible with the older router? If not, which router would you suggest?

    Yes. 

    Be sure to check with the ISP first before buying to ensure they support this modem working on there network services.
