Simulated Sine Wave UPS?

Hello -- In buying a new UPS for my C7800 WiFi Cable Modem Router, I'm wondering if I can get by with a cheaper simulated sine wave UPS or if I should buy a full sine wave UPS. Or, for that matter, even a super-cheap step wave unit. I believe it depends on the kind of power supply used by the router but I don't have the knowledge or background to understand these things. Thank you!

Re: Simulated Sine Wave UPS?

I would think any good quality UPS that provides power specs for the modem should work. APS makes good quality UPS.

Re: Simulated Sine Wave UPS?

First, thank you.

Second, I've no clue of the way things are done here. Is it proper to thank you in this forum? Do people just ignore responses and go along their day?

Yes of course. It's up to people to respond to posts.

Good Luck.
